I have just started school in Amsterdam, and I noticed some trends in Amsterdam (add more or correct me if I am wrong!:(flower:

-PLO Shalws
-(Gray) Leopard Print
-DSquared2 (sneakers)
-Oversized Cardigans
-Red Monkey Jeans

I was wondering what the major or new trends are from your city!

Another thing I have noticed in Amsterdam is girls who have dyed there hair white or gray. It is a little strange, but some girls really can pull it off.

^ its my dream to dye my hair grey :ninja:

in Athens,
*everyone is layering
*more cross-shoulder bags than usual
*too many empire shape blouses with deep necklines
*assymetrical haircuts becoming mainstream
*the 'short & groomed' cute beard attack

Winnipeg:

The bigger you are, the smaller your clothing!
Horrible, outdated, denim miniskirts with the frayed bottom.
Silver Jeans are huge too.
Black. Leggings. Everywhere.
Emo.

  • Leggings.
  • very tight and very skinny jeans.
  • short dresses with prints that scream 'i picked this because i'm a cute girl' ...worn over pants. or leggings of couse.
  • headbands.
  • vests.
  • barefeet. oh yes. so devendra of them. *wants to roll eyes again*
  • tight demin shorts.
  • metallic strappy sandals.
  • polka dots.

^ what do you mean bare feet? people walking around without shoes?

yep. not around town, but certainly around malls..and the entire university...they go barefeet to the cafeteria, to the library..grow an annoying beard, smoke pipes...and smile at me despite my rolling eyes. . i hate it so much because catching up with devendra banhart's thing would've looked slightly fun in 2004..but doing it now...and massively..it's just..:yuk: ..so poseur of them.

Georiga, US:
+mullets
+chunky highlights (striperesque (?) )
+overalls without shirts underneath, & if your really lazy no shoes as well & no joke they walk in the super markets like that sometimes...uck
+being a "fashionable" girl entitles owning tons of Abercrombie & GAP pieces in your wardrobe.
+Crocs (those rubber clogs, their actually stocked @ the Hallmark/Kroger/Gas Station/pretty much everywhere)
+Torn Jeans
+Just pretty casual, not a very fashion forward city, but I'm moving to a better part of Georgia soon to continue college (Atlanta) so I'm sure things will be much better there.

^ HAHAHAA I grew up in small town America so I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. The female mullet has GOT to go:

(google search yielded this picture from marketertoday.com)

Yes, this here is the hair many women in Maine wear.

In Winnipeg though, a lot of girls have THIS kind of mullet:

Which I think is really, REALLY cute.

^Oh my, I thought the small Dutch town I live in is bad...

Not that i want to bash your posts, but what I ment was the real trends, the stuff young, (progressive) people wear. I can imagine that there are no stylish people in your town, there are hardly any in the town I live, but I am very fortunate I go to school in fabulous Amsterdam.

 thats weird, hope it doesnt catch up in europe, i hate bare dirty feet, i just dont want to see this happening, i can get hysterical, its so bizzare

Singapore:

Crocs
Stripes (I don't mind these too much...I just don't like them in the typical black-white wide striped top)
Birkenstocks
Hairbands
Long charm necklaces
Vintage dresses bought off the rack at topshop
Oversized bags
Denim shorts
Sunglasses that swallow up the wearer's face

leggings with denim minis. NO.
tacky coloured beads.
babydoll dresses worn by people that just can't get away with it.
white/red/green/blue pixie boots. usually worn by people with chunky legs in a hideous fashion.
what we call 'clarkston girls' - basically this is rich girls from the wealthy areas of glasgow who all dress the same, mischa barton rip offs and spend all day in topshop spending daddy's money and being idiots.

yes, glasgow is the style mecca.

Yeah, me too. :yuk: . even if i'm always barefeet in my house.

I dont really see it happening because Devendra's been quite popular over there for quite a while, he even played at the Chanel show last season and still, from what i understand [as i havent been there], his style, albeit admired, was never followed by people.

Grunge. Just baggy tshirts, vintage, leather (jackets, bags, etc), with black leggings. Or a tunic/short dress with leggings (any colour, I saw a girl with electric blue ones a week ago. Ew).

lol, love the mullet pic! It's really not just men that sport the look. The crazy thing is I've only seen maybe two girls with leggings on here, but booty shorts that's another story....their everywhere! :P

grey seems to be getting real hot over here
