Shoe Trends S/S 2007

I don't think patent is ever wrong by season. It might not be right for a certain outfit though.

Butter just got in a bunch of amazing Dries Van Noten shoes. I wanted to post these two because the are my favorites. Kim or Eva at Butter are so helpful.

Softgrey
, I totally thought of you when I saw the white heels, they have a very 50's vibe that I think you like. needless to say, I had to buy them they are so sweet.

NoaNoa the height of the chloe heels you posted actually looks tame compared to the other ones, that is truly terrifying. :ninja: The marc jacobs and the givenchy are my favourites, the givenchy reminds me a bit of a louboutin clichy, and the marc jacobs are just too cool!

lucky, i loooove that first pair of dries slingbacks, i saw them in wwd accessories and thought they were very nice

ahh lucky you are funny...

the heel isn't 'sexy' enough for me...
though my definition of sexy is a whole story unto itself......

but i have something similar with a round toe and ankle strap from veronque brahquinho a few seasons back....
and i have a heeled version of the second pair from strenesse...

i don't wear these often...but when i do...they def make a statement...
i think white shoes can be sooo cool...give an outfit just the right twist...

i hope you post more pics of yourself and what you are wearing...
:flower:...

i love what you buy and would love to see it in action...

^, OK, now I'm dying to know [what "sexy" is to you]...pics please...somehow I don't see you walking around in Dior's Queen Mum's...:meow:

my first ever pair of white shoes, so I'm glad they are Dries. cavanaugh, I didn't see them in WWD, that's neat, thanks.

softgrey, thank you. I like being behind the camera lens not in front of it, that's where the real action is (as you know).

does anyone know of the new givenchy boots which are brown with an off white squiggly print on them? please let me know where they will be sold onine they are not sold on luis-whataver was posted above. thanks so mcuh

luckyme, do you have pics of the other Dries shoes Butter got? Pathetic that I am asking, but Brooklyn is so far away.

Very cute heels--they remind me of Marni!

laika, check out post #57 (page 3) of this thread. there are pictures of all 6 styles. I'm curious which you like.

thanks! All of those are lovely, actually. Originally I thought I might go for the rosette ballets, but they might be a bit too demure for my wardrobe. :p The style of those yellow-green ones is better, but I love the nude color of the ballets...i'd love to see an outfit with your wedge sneaks, when you get them. :flower:

I actually love the "un-sexiness" of his shoes myself, although I've never thought of them that way before. Just look at these girls--nothing not sexy about them!

laika, I decided against the wedge sneakers and instead bought the white leather slingbacks, they seemed more timeless and less trendy to me. also for the cost of the white sneakers I would dread getting them dirty, which is inevitable.

i love those gold pumps, always have.

Agree 100% - it is getting ridiculous. Try to walk or drive in those YSL - just imposible -especially in Europe on the stone streets.

This is so true! I drive stick and I had to take off my Prada platform boots to drive today.....and it's freezing cold outside.

^^Thats the story of my life...taking off high heels so I can drive stick.

Tell me about it. I have to take ballet flats on my buying trips and put them on for the journey from showroom to showroom. One day last season i forgot them and had to walk the cobblestone streets of Milan in Chloe Wedges all day!
