Show Us What's in Your Makeup Bag

I ahve added CG illuminator stick, maybelline powder foundation, and CG trublend illuminating powder to my makeup bag in the past few days! The turblend powder has a butt load of sparkle in it, like a HUGE butt load, so please go very lightly if you use it. I found that out that hard way, lol

whyfashion: i love how you support the Canadian economy by purchasing so many Canadian brands (LW, Annabelle, Marcelle). I think LW products are fabulous but a bit $$ for drugstore (though SDM isn't much of a drugstore now is it). It encourages me to start purchasing Canadian products because all 3 of those brands are excelleng for their price.

This thread has encouraged me to save up and buy some higher end products instead of tons of lower end. Of coursem, tehre are many drugstore products that are great (mascaras, glosses). But I totally regret buying all these eyeshadows that lack in pigmentation when i couldve just gotten 1 Dior palette w/ excellent quality. It's actually more worth it since I barely wear makeup except for going out on weekends. I guess that's what my current 'make up fasting' (no purchasing cosmetics for a few months) is for!

   Thank you. It is all about the notion of embracing what you have around you. Why pay more for other brands when Canadian products have the same quality and costs less. Also, just like clothes, makeup is about rareness and unique-ness.

BTW, not all drugstore e/s are crappy, at least not Marcelle, Quo and annabelle. Wet N Wild (yes, WnW) has great eyeshadows, you should check these out. For what is good in drugstore what's not, check out this : http://www.makeupalley.com/product/searching.asp?x=y&CategoryID=102&brandname=Wet+%27n%27+Wild+%28432%29&brand=448&title=&GO.x=9&GO.y=9
Dior eyeshadows do have the best quality, it is extremely creamy and blendable, so worth the high price, although I could not afford much =P

Im 12 so I never never ever wear make-up but for some lame reason I have a few thnigs I liek to keep:
- Liquid liner in brown from Nivea Beaute
-Pencil liner in brown from Nivea Beaute
-Dermalogica Active moist
-St Ives Apricot scrub
-Some nice vitamin e lipbalm from the body shop.
-I do not wear blusher and dont like it, so I pinch my cheeks- gives a great glow and it looks healthy.
-Talika Lipocils

^^ no not all drugstore is crappy. I am in LOVE with this new colorstay foundation w/ softfelx from revlon. Not to mention I could not live w/o my maybelline mascara. Just remember, if you apply more than one coat, "great lash" becomes "crappy lash", lol

i had one of the juicy tubes like 2 years ago that had a very adorable pink shade in the tube but looked clear no matter how much i put on my lips, is this one the same?
mine was a bit lighter, can't remeber the shade.. but i don't need a clear lipgloss anymore, and i loved this shade of pink ^^;

ill go now and either take a pic, or make a list of my stuff :D

Can you tell me what brand and shade your red lipstick is? It is stunning!

^Thanks! :flower:

It's great, but I've had it for a couple of years now, so it's getting a little old. It's not as good as it used to be!

It's a Scandinavian (I think) brand called Isadora. The shade is #47 and it is called Summer red. It's gorgeous but one has to be careful when applying it, there's some clown warning to it if you put too much on :p

my everyday look

undereyes : Covergirl Fresh Complexion concealer in Natural Beige

eyes : curl lashes with Shiseido lash curler and Maybelline Full n Soft waterproof mascara in Very Black on top lashes

cheeks : MAC Sheertone blush in Pink Swoon

^Now that is simple. I have to wear foundation and concealer all over everyday since my skin is so crappy. As much as I LOVE makeup, I would kill to just be able to wear that little bit on a day to day basis.

Oh! And how does the full n soft work?

Full n Soft is amazing! i think i have been using it for about 3 or 4 years..everytime i strayed from it, ive been disappointed by other mascaras! it lives up to its name, it never clumps and its really buildable so you can reapply throughout the day :) one coat for natural look and more for more drama. it also holds a curl which is absolutely necessary for making me look wide-eyed and awake

i think ive seen it in brown before, im planning to try that for a softer look. ive tried black brown before and it just looked like black to me..
