Permanent Makeup

I could never take the leap, nothing that permanent. I wouldn't always want eyeliner to be on my eyes all the time, for example, even though I do wear it quite often....

Do you think it's a certain level of vainness (vain-ness) that comes with this, or is it more about convenience?

Oh my Lord ... my mother has this, and it is so wrong. Hers is eyeliner and lipliner. Here's the deal--it doesn't even look good. It's a *permanent* bad lining job. She isn't lazy, but she is always in a hurry and I think she thought it would be really efficient to have this part already done since it is a bit timeconsuming to do it well, particularly the eyes (for me anyway, I prefer cake liner). I teased her that when she's eighty the black will be on her cheekbones and the pink under her chin ...

It also looks rather odd when other makeup wears off/is removed to have some items remain behind.

Guys ... just say no.

my godmother has her eyeliney tattoo'd on, it actually looks really good on her. my former hairdresser had her lips done, not so much a liner but an extension of the color area... she only wore clear gloss and it looked terrific. I think tattooing makeup can look greta or awful, depending on what yuou get and who gives it to you.

My mom has the eyeliner done. I don't think it looks bad or unusual, but I guess I wouldn't know since I've seen her with it all my life.

I'd be too scared.

I mean, makeup fashion changes all the time!

Plus, I like messing about and experimenting with makeup too much.

I think the most I'd do is tinted eyelashes (which isn't even tattooing) and maybe semi-permanent eyeliner.

I know two people with tattooed makeup. One had part of her eyebrow tattooed towards the end of it because she had a scar there and hair wouldn't grow anymore. It's approximately 1 cm and totally unoticeable...

The other has the eyeliner tattoo, which I never noticed! I found much later it was a tattoo... all the while I just thought she always had eyeliner on!

a lot of my friends moms have this done on their eyebrows or eyeliner, and they say that it starts to fade after a while to like a dark blue

Good grief! Doing a quick make up doesn´t even take 3 minutes, why bother getting tattood makeup?

I would rather just go through the effort of putting on my make-up every morning, I mean the tattoos would be there permanently. Besides, I like how I look without makeup.

Tattoed makeup just look really weird and unnatural.....

And applying makeup is fun.... so.....

alot of lebanese people do itttt! its unbelievable out there! .. i was "partially" convinced to try the lipliner tattoo - which looks really natural and neat... but i dont know.. am still thinking

my mum's friend is lebanese, she has her eyebrows done. she's really pale and they stand out so much on her face. just by looking at my mum's arabic magazines i can see ALOT of arab celebrites have tattoed make-up and ALOT of plastic surgery. most of the time, it looks REALLLYY scary. i say stick to normal make-up.

My step sister has her eyebrows and eye liner tattooed. It looks so unnatural. It seems so weird and freaky to me, not to mention painful.

a lot of Indian women do it too. Mostly housewifes i guess who dont know any better. It looks utterly artificial and ugly. Plus when you age, and your skin does weird things, then the tattoos look really bizzare and stand out to no end
Women, dont be so lazy..get up and do your makeup fresh everyday instead.

Thank GOD, my mom ALMOST did this......She almost went to do the tattoo eyeliner with a friend...I'm so happy she didn't....

Heaps of Lebanese women do this!! I don't get it!!
Tattooed eyeliner is NOT attractive!
My cousin's wife has her eyebrows done, she shaves her eyebrows so you only see tattoo Sometimes when she leaves it you can see the black hair under her light brown tattoo

I know a few people who had this done. My mom had her lips done b/c of a surgery she got when she was a child. Her lips were left uneven. After some reconstructive surgery after she got older to even things out, the definition of her upper lips were not so obvious. So she got it tattooed. But the tattoo has faded significantly. Which is another issue with tattoos on the face. They fade over time if you expose yourself to the sun. I am sure sunscreen helps to a pt.

The other girl I know, does the "shave half of my eyebrows and fill the rest in with tattoo to get a super arch" thing. It doesn`t look too good. I am sure it is a b*tch to maintain.

Also my hair dresser does it in her salon. She had her eyebrows done. Most eyebrows are very very noticeable. But hers is subtle enough mainly because she had it done to fill in sparse areas and not to actually draw a whole new eyebrow.
