my camera is non existant these days... but here is a quick run through...

small cleanser - dermalogica.. incase i end up staying overnight somewhere or just need to get ready at someone elses house for a night out...

powder - 'powder in a brush' by almay... its a supermarket brand but it is a godsend... totally natural colours and doesnt look like you have powder on at all...

bronzer, i use covergirl. again, its a supermarket brand but i find from bronzers that are $2 to $120 i have found this little gem to best match my skin tone.

small purfume - marc jabobs or Pommegranette Noir by Jo Malone

cheap black eyeliner... i use them too quickly and lose them too frequently to use a goof one.

lancome or Napoleon Mascara..

Bobbi brown concealer

benetint blush

clinique lipstick

karastase oleo relax... to stop my hair looking like an unruly poodle has sat on my head


although i usually only use this stuff in the morning... and not all of it... its always a comfort to have it around with me... which sounds so wrong when you see that writen... burn your bras etc etc

how do some of you guys decide what to wear with so much makeup? I used to have around 30 pink lip glosses and 15 brown eyeshadows, I went nuts! I spent forever trying different combinations.

Yes, makeup is like painting to me too, but it's also a bit like "collecting". It's easy to become addicted... I don't normally use more than half of the stuff I have...

I cant doubt it, I like to use different colours as well, BUT dont you think that theres a rational difference between what colours actually suit to you and what colours are not for you. and
than why you buy things that will be in your dresser untill it hit the date "best before"

I better will waste my money on skincare products in the same way like Suburban Snob does with her make-up.

I dont say that its bad but I think its a bit irrational.

like someone said for the good looks you need a bit of blush, mascara and lipstick (lipgloss)

People interested in beauty, be it makeup or beautiful clothes are seldom rational when it comes to 'when is enough enough'
..with makeup there are so many textures, intensities..than similar looking colors need not be identical on the skin.
As for having a great varity of color.. like with clothes.. you might want to wear a completely different palette in winter than you would in summer..

Maybe posts #293-299 should be moved to a seperate thread on Collecting Makeup, similar to the thread 'ENOUGH IS ENOUGH' - clothes acquisition, hysteria and the perfect wardrobe in Personal style as the posts are somewhat OT - thoughts ?

I can see how some people might think it's irrational, but I really enjoy cosmetics. I don't think it's a waste, but I respect other people's opinions and priorities.
