fromt he article above:
"It's tearing him apart and the worst thing is he knows he only has himself to blame."

Darn right it is!

From that article:
"Daisy was so ordinary, she wasn't overly pretty or ambitious. She seemed very down to earth and had a real rapport with his kids.

"That was the ultimate turn-on for him."

OUCH. I just don't get it - why Jude would cheat on Sienna with Daisy?:yuk: Maybe this explains part of it. I tend to think cheating isn't just about who is prettier, but about the thrill of having forbidden sex.

Maybe Jude wasn't secure enough to accept the fact that Sienna's fame was begining to move up. There have been reports that he is a very demanding and bully of a man.

I suspect those reports are true. There were rumours that he wasn't happy with her partying in London when he was filming in New Orleans and was very angry with her when she flew over to see him.

Ew.

I can't beleive someone actually tried to defend this a**hole! "People make mistakes"!?

Give me a break. The man cheated twice, and from the looks of it, it destoyed BOTH of his marriages...or potential soon to be, marriages. He's admitting that he cheated with the nanny and making a public apology to so save face. So the "public" won't look at him as this insensitive jerk. I'm sure it was done with the urging of his publicist and agent.

He's a cheat. "He's just not that into.." Sienna.

She did the right thing.

Ugh, Jude. I had no idea you were such a cad.

Did he really cheat on Sadie too? I thought it was the other way around... If he did, this just makes this all the worse.

At least he admitted it, that's more than a lot of guy's, D Beckham spring to my mind first.

^ uhh I don't think he wanted this to surface in the first place. The nanny is the money grubbing one who sold her story to the tabloids. Do you really think Jude would be silly enough to want sully his image like that?
And tammy, Jude cheated on his wife, then cheated on the girl that he cheated on his wife with. Anyone else see a pattern hrrmm? I don't think most of us are judging him, it's not like we're screaming "burn in hell Jude you adulterer!" and whatnot, just expressing our disgust at that kind of conduct and the fact that many don't respect or condone that kind of behaviour. Yes, people make mistakes of course, but when they keep making the same ones over and over again it doesn't mean they can get away with it each time. I personally don't approve of promiscuity or adultery so that's just my humble opinion and if I am ever weak enough to succumb to anything like that, I would be very ashamed.

And more than just making the same mistake over and over again he's hurting lots of people other than just his adulterous self.

I posted this in the Sienna thread but now I think it should have gone here

I don't blame her one bit for not going on :( At least she gave it a go.

Ok what a loser. Once upon a time when he was happily married he seemed like a really nice guy but it seems like they all fall. He may be good looking (in an effete way) but he has had really crappy taste in women. This though seems like rock bottom. Both Sadie and Sienna are rather plain but this Daisy girl is downright ming. It is not a helpful comment but it needed saying! She looks like a plump extra from Footballers' Wives or something. Maybe he has insecurity/power issues. I mean Sienna did fawn over him a lot and plain women struck dumb by his celebrity may be appealing. In any case, the golden boy potential or Ripley and Gattaca when we were all in love with him, seems long gone.

Anyway this is why everyone should have open relationships. It is against human nature to stick with one partner so why fight it. It is immoral to make a vow to someone and then break it so neither party should make the vow in the first place. You can't have it both ways with a girlfriend or boyfriend on one hand and loads of lovers on the other. The world would be a lot calmer if people were more laid back and less posessive of their partners. After all, it is not necessarily intentional pain, it is just biology... survival even.

I always thought that the very reason why we are rational beings was that we put morals above instincts. But I guess I could be wrong.

I think you're right. They say that the difference between animals and humans is the ability to rationalize. That's why they call dirty men dogs because they are acting like they don't have any common sense.

Ah but then morality is subjective, especially in the post-religious era but even within dictated codes. One man's morality isn't another man's morality. I believe sex should not be linked to love like it has been in the past. They are two entities and people don't always believe in the latter. It is just chemicals after all. Putting morality above instinct is important but what is more important is guaging the moral codes of those around you and trying to make sure you don't violate them. It is called compassion.

But then again I say, if we are rational beings we should control our instincts in favour of social and moral codes. On the other hand, I get your point and I believe that if someone like Jude Law puts his sexual instincts above his ethics he should at least have the decency of not getting married or engage on a serious relationship. He's got his own idea of being a sexually active male and for what I saw it doesn't quite match Sienna's or Sadie's perception of what a relationship should be. If he wants to have carefree sex he shouldn't put a ring on a girl's finger.

some of what you are saying makes perfect sense to me. i dont agree that it is all just chemicals after all. and i think that gauging the moral codes of those around you is a bit too vague - one needs to make clear agreements with the partner we say we love, and stick to them, whatever those agreements are.

what you are advocating is polyamory, "ethical sluthood" as one defining book calls it. the problem is that, when it comes to sex, most people aren't ethical :innocent: - they make agreements that aren't reasonable for them, and make commitments that they cannot keep. society pressures us to be monogamous, heterosexual, and most of all to lie about what we really do in bed and what we really want sexually.

hey look at tom cruise!

seriously, the only problem i have with whatever jude law is doing (and this *is* all for entertainment purposes only, we must remember that ultimately it's none of our business) is that is seems he violated the trust of his partner.
