It's not going to win the Oscar, but it might do very well. GI Joe has a pretty large fan base, so die hard fans will go see it to judge for themselves. Dennis Quaid usually draws a crowd too, and I'm sure with the promise of Channing Tatum without a shirt and Rachel and Sienna in skin tight outfits it will ring in audiences of both sexes.

^ A lot of blockbusters are not screened. A lot of this is probably because Transformers 2 got so panned... though it still did quite well.

That also being said... I also have HATED well rated movies.

Will GI Joe fall on RT? Probably... I expect it to wind up between 35 - 45% when all is said and done.

Can't believe why the movie was $325M?

Sienna Miller's wig was $7K alone.

It will be interesting to see how things pan out. Looking at what is opening this weekend in a similar genre, I would take Rise of Cobra over Perfect Getaway, which looks like another non-review, and is only 50% so far. Joe should rule the roost this week, but will fall next week with District 9 opens

I had no idea Dennis Quaid was even in the movie.
He hasn't done any press has he?

I am glad she is going back to stage work after this.
I think she is better on stage than in movies.

^ He was in Berlin with them, there are photograhs of Sienna posing with him a few pages back. He has done a few interviews that I've seen. In one he said how Sienna apparently beats him up in the film, which made me laugh.

I actually, really loved Van Helsing! Haha.

^ Van Helsing was o.k. but could have been better. Seemed to campy to me. Just an opinion.

I liked the Mummy, but the sequels faded very quickly.

You don't see a lot of Dennis Quaid on the promotion circuit because I think his role as General Hawk is not the main focus... he does not even appear on the One-Sheets, etc.

So far there have also been premieres in Berlin, Japan, I believe a military base in Maryland, and now Los Angeles.
