Rihanna clearly anticipated more of a fight when she donned one of her typically fierce outfits to attend a party hosted by actress Sienna Miller in New York last night.
With Vogue editor Anna Wintour on the guest list, Rihanna, 21, arrived dressed to impressed in a black mini cowl dress, and a pair of studded visor-style sunglasses.
But Boho babe Sienna's outfit was something of a let down, as she failed to rise to the challenge choosing to dress down in a pair of trendy 'jeggings' - denim leggings - and a plain black top.

It was a typically over the top look for fashion-loving singer Rihanna, and the heavily blacked out shades which looked rather silly begged the question, could she even see where she was going?
She also carried a bag bearing the slogan 'Such a f***ing lady, wait your turn.' Quite who she was aiming the rude slogan at, is anybody's guess.
By contrast Sienna, 27, who was hosting the event alongside her fashion designer sister Savannah, looked distinctly underdressed, which is probably why she didn't stand next to the pop colossus.
Budding fashionista Sienna who launched fashion label Twenty8Twelve with her sister Savannah, paired up with Rihanna at the event in store Intermix to promote Fashion's Night Out, a global initiative which marked the launch of New York fashion week, designed to woo shoppers back into stores.
A-listers flocked to stores all over the globe for the world's biggest fashion event.
Events took place all over the city, hosted and attended by other celebrities including Gwen Stefani, Lindsay Lohan, Kate Hudson and Katy Perry.
More than 125 London shops took part in last night's event which coincided with a night of parties in 13 countries, including Paris, Milan as well as New York.
In New York, Victoria Beckham wore a strapless dress and thigh boots to a party at Bergdorf Goodman. While in Stores along Oxford Street, Bond Street, Carnaby Street and Regent Street offered discounts and threw parties for guests including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Daisy Lowe, Alice Dellal and Pixie Geldof.
Sienna's presence in New York added weight to recent rumours that she is hoping to build a fashion business in the city and base herself in the city.

The 27-year-old, is currently based in New York as she prepares to make her Broadway debut in stage play ‘After Miss Julie’ alongside actor Jonny Lee Miller, also a close friend of her ex Jude Law.
And the rumour mill claims she is looking for a three-bedroom home in New York.
She told Gotham magazine: 'I think you always have an affinity with the place where you were born… (I) love any excuse to be in New York.
'It’s such an amazing, exciting vibrant place to be… I think I’m going to fall so in love with being in New York that I probably won’t leave when we finish the play.'
