I sort of think Sienna is making a conscious effort not to dress as well as she used to- she has been quoted complaining many times how she would prefer if her acting (credibility) was more spoken about than her fashion/style. Don't get me wrong, i don't think she would ever dare to look rubbish and leave her house, but at the beginning stages of her career she was new on the scene and probably relished all the attention she was getting as it also boosted her profile as an actress to some extent. I truly think she is trying to divert that attention away a bit so people can start looking at her as an actress.

But I don't think she was trying hard in the initial stages either. I think she almost looks like she's trying harder these days not to look a certain way. I also think that these days she sometimes looks a little worn out and (dare I say it!) greasy, whereas in the old days her lack of makeup and unwashed hair just added to her bo-ho charm and she still managed to look fresh faced. I actually think she looks better with makeup these days.

I remember her saying she felt "more hardcore" with her short haircut. I think that translated into her changing her style to a more edgy look. I will agree that it didn't really suit her at all. I was hoping she would go back to her boho style after awhile, but she never really did. Seems like everything went downhill after she got that role as Edie.

I also think it might have a lot to do with the press and media. Seems like she's been through a lot the past couple of years, and like she's lost some of that carefree spark she used to have. It's sad, really. I still think she dresses better than 80% of the girls out there today though.

I totally agree with everything you guys are saying. I know we all say it all the time, but I miss old Sienna. yes, she was 21, 22, 23 when she was dressing like that, so yeah it makes sense that her style would evolve but she was captivating and her style was effortless and just cool. I was and am by no means a boho girl but when I look back at her candids in 2003 and 2004 I always find inspiration. Can someone post some old pics, for old times' sake?

^ I agree, although she is less adventurous with her style now, no doubt she is still looking good. I mean the change is gradual, reflecting well on her life and age. Competing for that it girl status with funky outfits can be tiring after all!

I agree with you girls on the "style decline" but i'm happy with two things:

1) She grew her hair back

2) her career has peaked, she is now more busy and older, maybe less focused on her wardrobe, which would totally make sense since she used to be so fed up with being famous for Jude and her style ...

I dont see any style decline in the last pics, she looks gorgoeus and fresh in that denim vest and love the necklaces, everybodys style goes through ups and downs sometimes u just dont care as much but shes been looking amazing this year!
