Sienna Miller

I really relate to one of the things she says in the recent interview...
that she wants children but the idea of bringing children into the world in the state it is in now scares her.
I am felt this way for a while.
I think she is completely right about global warming ( which the US is hardly paying attention to!) and the fact that we could be leaving our children behind in a world it is too late to save.
She seems to be a nice, thoughtful and funny girl and I think I would like her.

I kind of like to think of having children as a way of bettering the world and they will be the ones to make a difference on this earth.:flower:

I really like her outfit at the press conference, the gold chain is neat, I wish we could see it up close too. ^_^

I have brought 2 children into the world and it scares me too sometimes, although hopefully bringing them up as ecologically minded as possible will help them to help make a difference, for the better, but, yeah, I agree, it's scary.

we've survived it and they will too.

i THINK Sienna tends to say whatever is on her mind and hasn't necessarily thought it through. She didn't want to marry Jude Law and so she made up this excuse - which is fine but i dont' think you can take her comments seriously all the time - she tends to say conflicting things constantly sort of like her fashion!

No, she isn't.

in a sense the top movies are - there is a big push on for her for an oscar - golden globes winners can be an indicator of oscar winners

sounds like dylan will make them can the movie though

How terrribly frustrating her life must seem at the moment. Trying to get the movie she worked so hard for out and being thwarted at every turn. She craves credibility and it keeps being pushed off into the horizon - maybe a little like Edie.

It is too bad - but i do think the one thing that will save her is her tenacity and hard work - she has worked hard this year - if she keeps it up something will eventually hit.

Many of the top films this year such as The Good Shepherd, The Good German or The Prestige scored no nominations at all even-though we all know they will be at the Oscars, that's a fact. Plus this year it's going to be something like The Departed vs Flags of our Fathers anyway.

So I guess there is still some hope for Factory Girl(if the get it out on time which, seriously, is becoming a real nightmare). Sienna getting a nomination? I don't know it seems very unlikely to me, she'll be competing in one of the toughest categories as a leading actress. She's still a lightweight compared to Helen Mirren, Kate Winslet, Penélope Cruz, it's more likely Beyoncé gets one rather than Sienna. Not even Nic Kidman got a nomination for Fur!!
She'll be lucky if she gets a Bafta one!

not quite sure if you are responding to me or not?
I dont' know if the films you ahve listed are top films nor do i think they will necessarily be up for an Oscar and I don't think htey would be the reason that Factory girl would not get in there.

All of the follwoing have been nominated as best picture - execept for Bobby i think they will all go to the oscars
  1. BABEL
Anonymous Content Production/Una Produccion De Zeta Film/Central Film Production; Paramount Pictures/Paramount Vantage
  2. BOBBY
A Michel Litvak Production/Bold Films; MGM/The Weinstein Company
  3. THE DEPARTED
Warner Bros. Pictures; Warner Bros. Pictures
  4. LITTLE CHILDREN
New Line Cinema; New Line Cinema
  5. THE QUEEN
    A Granada Production; Miramax Films
All of the following have been nominated for best actress, all except maggie gyllenhall will go forward to the Oscars and Sienna won't replace maggie
  1. PENELOPE CRUZ — VOLVER
  2. JUDI DENCH — NOTES ON A SCANDAL
  3. MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL — SHERRYBABY
  4. HELEN MIRREN — THE QUEEN
  5. KATE WINSLET — LITTLE CHILDREN
The point i was making is that Sienna's fillm and her performance are not on the Golden Globe radar which COULD be an indicator of both not being up for Oscars.

I agree she is a light weight compared to Helen Mirren and P Cruz but the others to me are not terribly good actresses - but ones the oscar voters adn other award show voters do like.

I completely agree with this top three. And I've only seen 1 out of 3! I just know these will be the best though. (the prestige is very underrated)

hey does anyone have a better quality pic of this outfit? thanks a lot!
