JUDE Law's jilted gal pal, Sienna Miller, will play Andy Warhol superstar Edie Sedgwick after all — but the director swears his change of heart had nothing to do with her newly enhanced press profile. Miller's name and face have been everywhere since it was reported last month that Law had shagged his kids' nanny. Miller was up for the Sedgwick role earlier this year, but lost the part after she committed to star in "As You Like It" on the London stage instead. "She was offered the role on July 13th, long before the Jude Law story broke," "Factory Girl" director George Hickenlooper told PAGE SIX's Jared Paul Stern. "As soon as Katie Holmes dropped out, we went back to Sienna. I always saw her as Edie. It was very painful when she left the project." Hickenlooper, who says Miller was able to have the part again after filming was pushed back, declares it's "blatantly absurd to think that tabloid gossip had anything to do with it. We cast her the old-fashioned way, because she's brilliantly talented." Meanwhile, we hear Guy Pearce is up for the role of Warhol.

Liberty, I think they are giving the part to Sienna b/c she is getting so much press coverage right now b/c of the Jude cheating scandal. I agree with those who said it's a sh*tty way to win the role. I would want it b/c the producers thought I could handle it and am a good actress, not b/c my boyfriend banged the nanny and blabbed about it!

I agree, im sorry but its sad for Sienna to get the role because of that

I think you've all misunderstood, because the press has twisted things so manipulatively. Sienna wasn't "dropped" from the film, she left the project, as she was busy with theatre. Then, when the project ran into funding problems (something that the papers always fail to mention) production was obviously pushed back-so by the time she is finished with theatre, she will be able to fit it in. The British press don't like Sienna too much because she's had, so far, an easy ride to fame, in their opinion, and if you lived in England, you would know how bad the media is. So they try and twist things.

I was given the impression what you just said happened to. That she was never DROPPED from anything, but the only reason she couldn't do it was timing, and once the production was pushed back, time was no longer an issue so she got back on board.

It's just that the tabs bang it into your head so hard of the story THEY want you to think, therefore the truth gets mixed up into a bunch of lies. So people remember it being the false reason.

As you know, producer Holly Wiersma has made us associate producers of Factory Girl, the film that details the rapid rise and sudden fall of Andy Warhol “superstar” Edie Sedgwick. So many actresses have been mentioned for the role, but we can no definitely confirm that Sienna Miller is back on board. (No, we didn’t even approach the subject of her wandering Jude when we spoke with her from her London home.) We started calling everyone associated with the Edie project and told them the wonderful news that Sienna is back.

Our friend Brigid Berlin, who’ll be playing Edie’s grandmother, was thrilled when we called her with the news, as were the film’s producer Holly Wiersma, director George Hickenlooper and writer Captain Mauzner. A few months ago when it was announced that Sienna had to withdraw from the film, some nasty rumors began to circulate that she was dropped in favor of Katie Holmes. An out-and-out lie!

The start-date of our film was delayed and Sienna had to honor the commitment she made to appear on the London stage in As You Like It. Then Holmes was in, then out, in the wink of an eye (this was during the “Tom and Katie Show,” if you’ll recall, which preceded the release of their summer films).

The movie’s cast is taking shape marvelously: Guy Pearce as Warhol, Sienna as Edie, Hayden Christensen as “a rock star based on a composite” of three musicians with whom Edie was romantically involved.

Brigid Berlin originally gained notoriety as “Mrs. Andy Warhol” and as a member of the Warhol acting troupe and she’s suggested that Maggie Gyllenhaal would be ideal to portray her. Speaking of Brigid, the other morning, at around six, we received our daily phone call from her with the comment on the report she’d just heard: that it is harder to get into some New York City or Hollywood night clubs than it is to get into this country. Said Brigid, “If Steve Rubell were alive, he would have made the best head of Homeland Security or Immigration. He wouldn’t have let anybody into this country unless they were cute.”[/font]

Sienna Miller is six weeks pregnant with estranged fiance Jude Law's child, according to an American magazine. Star claims the couple told their parents the happy news just two days before revelations Law had an affair with his children's nanny emerged. The pair split following the claims, and Law's admission he slept with Daisy Wright while filming movie All the King's Men in America last year - but they reportedly met in private in England for secret talks in a bid to rescue their relationship. Miller has refused to comment on the pregnancy claims.

I don't mean for this to be a heartless comment but I wonder if she would get an abortion if she is pregnant? I mean she is pretty liberal so unless she does wants to be tied to Jude for the rest of her life that could be an option.
