Gorgeous hair, I really wonder how they do that natural waves and I want them to teach that to my hairdresser
It's very simple to do at home. Just a few tricks.
First of all, it is very difficult to get that look with hair that you've just washed that day or last night. For example, if you're doing it Friday, wash your hair on Wednesday. My hair is kind of dry so it won't grease up but if your hair is very oily you can use leave in shampoo in the days in between. Hair washed a few days before will hold the waves much better and will look more natural. You can ask your stylists if you don't believe that.
Second, this look is much easier if your hair has a few layers. If it doesn't that is still fine but the layers add a kind of natural choppy-ness.
O.K. So when you do wash your hair (say Wednesday) dry it with a blow dryer with the nozzle pointed down from the crown of your head. You don't need to dry it perfectly straight but just so that it won't poof up or anything.
So now its the next day or whatever. You separate your hair into sections. Say two sections in the back and three sections on each side and twist the front up and away and leave it for last.
You need a medium barrel curling iron. Take a section and spray it with hairspray. Kerestase is a very good one. Then, roll it around the curling iron LEAVING THE END OUT. What I mean is to start the iron about an inch from the end of the section and curl away from your face so that the end whisp is kind of hanging out of the iron. That's very important because it prevents the curl from looking like pageant hair and makes it look natural. Hold for about fifteen seconds and let it go. Repeat with every section. Do your front in the same way away from your face.
Rub in a little bit of shine product and run your fingers gently through to break the curls up even more.
And thats it.
