Simply Vera : Vera Wang for Kohl's

I have that grey sweater posted above and haven't had any pilling...
I have used Dryel on it twice so far and it's good as new.

^ Hmm, I wonder if the pilling is related to the fiber? The sweater I got is rayon/wool:

The other pieces are cotton/spandex and rayon knit (no pic, sold out):

Kohls is ordering new deliveries every month (or will be) so there should be a constant influx of new pieces. For Spring, look for a lot of Marni inspired items and significantly improved quality (more so for Fall 08 though).

there's a kohls in jersey city that's super easy to get to. just take the PATH train from 32nd st/broadway out to newport/pavonia and it's basically right there at the newport center mall. it takes about 15 minutes to get there.

thanks...i always wondered how to do that exactly...

^_^

I think Kohls and Vera are really onto something. But we'll see...

the new issue of cosmopolitan has some new pieces. new color palette this time. a very bright red.

One of the few magazines I don't typically read ... maybe I can find it at the library or somewhere. I'm sure many of us would love to karma anyone posting scans :D

i finally got the colorblock skirt...they only had a size 4 online...
i'll post pics when i get it...

I wish there were a Kohls here, I've seen some stuff online I couldnt find when I was in the US. But I did buy, the oversize cardigan, leather-look gloves, tights and a wrap around belt.

I Guess Vera Wang Is Kinda Wack Now Since Its In Kohls

I don't think Vera Wang was ever an elitist 'brand'. She's always done many different styles and price ranges, she just happens to be most well known for wedding gowns which are typically expensive even at the low end, I mean they cost a whole bunch to make.

I disagree with this. I mean, I don't really like Alice Temperlys collection for Target but I won't think any less of her full price designs because of her designing for Target. I mean they sell Kate Moss's Topshop collection at Barneys which I find crazy, so what does that make Barneys? A rubbish shop??

I am finally expressing my absolute LOVE for this collection. I went to Kohl's yesterday to try on everything in sight.. the dresses were so cute. The jeans were even OK but way too long. I love the mustard colored top and the purple satin top with the hood. As much as I hate to admit it, I do love the way Vera dresses.

I still can't afford half the stuff though

by "new" i was referring to november...maybe this means that the older vera wang items will go on deeper discount...i hope so...

During my lunch break today, I stopped by Kohls and left with two new Vera items, the mustard-yellow blouse with blouson sleeves and a longer black dress, satin front, with long sleeves and a fabric belt with elastic. (These were in addition to the purple button-down blouse with a ruffled neckline and sleeves, and a black tank top with pleated satin front, which my mom picked up for me several weeks ago--I rarely go into Kohls; a long explanation is nearing--unabbreviated. :p) I was actually searching for a cheap jacket I could wear at work... since I was cold today, and the weather's getting colder not warmer. I found nothing in that vein; in fact, I never find anything at Kohls (save for Vera recently), which is why I never visit... It's so depressing. There's nothing worse than leaving a store empty-handed, for someone who usually goes shopping to cheer themselves up.

So I asked my coworkers' opinions, especially on the dress (which cost $102.something on sale); I was told it looked like something a person might wear for the slaughtering of lambs, like among a coven... God, that makes me wanna keep it. :innocent: Which sounds like an opinion from someone I'm on bad terms with, but it's not... I don't think. I'm still deliberating though, being broke...
