Lauren Conrad Collaborating with Kohl's

she's like a bad rash that just won't go away...
:ninja:...

just when you think she's gone...she just keeps coming back...

pretty colour palette on that rack though...
:ermm:

^ prove the haters wrong. :woot:

Honestly, I think for what this is - ie. fashion to the masses, not "high fashion" or exclusive and luxe design, its pretty good.

I've seen designer collaborations that looked worse.

Honestly, I felt there is a lot of room for improvement even for a so called ' fashion to the masses' collection... it needed a little more flair. Based on her twitter pics, the spring collection looks more promising... some nicer colours and more details... we'll have to see. I do give her a lot of credit in the fact that she does a lot of the work... not just putting her name on clothes to be sold.:flower:

Lauren is very good at making clothes that are flattering to women in all shapes and sizes, comfortable and more basic staples. However, she lacks in the creativity department big time. This is where completing her studies would have helped.

It would be a great move on her part if she left LA for a bit and take some courses at FIT, etc... it would improve her credibility in the fashion industry and give her different some perspective on fashion.^_^

If that pic in post #91 is any indication the spring collection will be a monumental improvement.

There's a faux leather moto jacket available online now. Too bad her line's not available nationwide until March - I'd like to see this in person.

It's $50 now, but Kohls always discounts their items within 1-2 months. I hate how the store will just put up pieces online at random times. They should have a better quality lookbook available online.

The Kohl's near me finally put out more of Lauren's line. I gotta say I was impressed with the quality which I think is better than the Vera Wang line and most of the Target Go collections. Nothing about it screamed cheap. I didn't like the t-shirts when I saw them online but they actually won me over in person. The online photos don't do them justice. The material isn't cheap cotton like you'd expect but more of that soft slouchy kind of cotton and the bows on front were sequins which I didn't realize from the online pics. I'm going to hold out for another price drop and grab a few of them.

The faux moto jacket looked --and felt- better than I expected it to. The dresses were also nice. I really liked the gray skirt with the lace on the bottom and the ruffly black skirt.

Kohl's had a sale --like always- so I ended up getting a pair of dark skinny jeans (perfect fit) and that black boyfriend blazer which also fit great and had a nice cut to it. This Kohl's didn't have all the jeans so I might venture farther to another Kohl's.I really want the light boyfriend jeans and the skinnies in black. I also got a $10 cash coupon which I'm going to use on my next visit.

I too liked a lot of this in person. I purchased the tee with the sequin bow.. I also will be getting the sequin cardigan when it goes on sale!

I bought the leather jacket last week, its so comfy and doesnt look fake at all.

I was at Kohl's today (first time that I've been in LA and visited a Kohl's) and saw a few of her dresses on the clearance racks... the black sequin dresses were 70% off.

nice! I got one of her dresses from when she first launched the line online for 9.00. I stopped by and got my sequin cardigan because I had some coupons and a gift card. I always love it when other people wear sequins for day or times other than holiday parties, but I always feel a bit goofy in them. hopefully I can find a way to work this into my wardrobe...

The black sequin dress was from her winter collection. I remember thinking Kohl's should have released it before the holiday season instead of in January.

It's so weird how things sell differently in different places. None of the Kohls by me seemed as if they had sold any of those cardigans!
