*i've also had problems finding sizes though--the shirt i tried on was a medium and was a bit tent-like on me..
just didn't work..

I usually take a medium but in this line the shoulders on the M's were much too broad for me.
I looked like a little girl in mum's clothes.

Has anyone bought any of the shoes?

the pattern is the same- yes..but the fabric is different...

the fabric and the neckline are just so good...


i love how so many people have said that nothing works without a belt or sash to cinch it ..etc...

meanwhile my mom and i went to the store and the first thing we both said was-
what's with the cheap junky bunched elastic belts?...
i would never wear anything that cheap looking and we both agreed that all those things could only be worn if you took the belt OFF...
...

i would take it off and then wear it loose or tucked in ...or add a patent leather belt...
but i would have left that bunchy elastic thing in the dressing room......

*ps- i love how i am getting younger...
first 30...now late twenties...pretty soon i will be prepubescent...

softgrey, i totally agree about those belts. I really liked one of the dresses (well, a few) but I thought with that belt thing they would not work.

I got the mustard sweater as mentioned before.. but I think I will take it back because I just really think it is AWFUL quality. And the mustard blouse had a much nicer color.

i think it just doesn't work so well on my body sometimes.. (i'm smaller on top with a sort of nipped in waist then i've got my greek butt and muscular thighs/legs to contend with )

so it sometimes makes me just look BIG

the belt is actually the my least favorite part of the shirt i got...
i haven't tried working with the shirt without it yet..
maybe for work next week

i'll try to snap a pic next time i wear one of the pieces...
i got two of the skirts--which i really like, but haven't gotten a chance to wear either one yet..

I'm having the same problem as you - some of the pieces in this line are ones I'd love to own, but they just don't look right on me.

I went back to a local Kohl's today and everything was 20% off. I was tempted to buy a polyester tank top, but I decided not to. There's always next time, though.

I'm really liking her line. . .
I got a navy t-shirt with royal blue around the neck, a dress (greyish sleeves, navy bodice), and some undies.
The sizes are HUGE and I had to go down 2 sizes on the dress and 1 on the t-shirt. But everything I have is quite comfortable. I think I might go back and get the black pocket skirt, I thought about the sweaters but I guess the quality isn't that great?
I hope she has some stuff out for the holidays

but most things were sold out- even the new stuff...

but there are new posters up so i can see there is more stuff coming that isn't out yet...
can't really tell if it's that amazing...
but it's worth keeping an eye out...

the platform sandals look really really good and for about $46 at the markdown price..
they are a steal imo...

i got these sandals and highly recommend; the leather is soft so it doesn't cut into your feet and it's fairly well-cushioned. they are very comfortable, and i'm usually a flats person. i found them to be true to size, at least on my feet...

Haha, well, I didn't mean for it to sound too harsh. But I've had some bad experiences with Kohl's clothes in the past -- particularly when it comes to fit and also with rude customer service people. Sorry if I offended anyone.

I went into Kohls yesterday and all the Vera stuff was on sale 40% off! I tried on some shoes, and I noticed that her shoes run really big. I usually wear a 7.5 but was fitting into 6.5 shoes! I actually was well-behaved and didn't buy anything though.

hey- sorry if you had bad experiences nobuses...
i was kind of expecting the worst myself..
so i have been pleasantly surprised by very nice staff and while looking at the vera stuff...
this time i also browsed the make up section and found some other things that i actually quite like-
they have so many really pretty lipstick and lipgloss colours...
i think i am now going to have to go back again..

i was at bergdorf goodman yesterday...
yes- i shop in both places......

and i saw the REAL vera wang fall stuff...
the print on some of the new pieces at kohls is remarkably similar to her mainline...
which surprised me but also made me really excited...

then of course...
i saw a dress that is too gorgeous and i think i may have to get it...
it's so beautiful...it's this navy sort of print and it's just so chic...
the fall mainline is really just stunning...
quite $$$...but better than previous seasons...

yes seanut- those are the shoes i mean...
they're very cool imo...
and with the holidays coming they might be fun to wear for parties...
