Skincare products you recommend

Other than my skincare for keeping my acne at bay, I use a Phytomer moisturizer which I adore, Sisley exfoliator and a Phytomer toner.

I use whatever acne and hyperpigmation treatment I need at the time and

Cleaner
Some sort of microderm scrub
Astrigent or Which Hazel
Moisturizer (SPF 30 during the day)
Mask
--sometimes makeup primer

Brands I like:

Dr. Brandt
N.V. Perricone, M.D,
MD Fortee
Apitiva
Astara
Acacia
Dermalogica
Peter Thomas Roth

I'm a cheapo who was quite surprised by Dove's foaming cleanser and their day lotion with SPF. Zero breakouts, zero irratation, zero flaky skin.

Kiehl's Blue herbal gel cleanser is good for oily skin and acne problem

Right now i'm using origins get down deep pore clay cleanser. very happy with the results. :D

before that, i was using kiehl's blue astringent gel cleanser and toner but it didn't do much for my skin. i'm going to go back to olay refreshing toner.
i don't know if this is the point of a toner but i've found that it really strips your skin of dirt and you actually see the cotton pad turn yellow. it's gross. but my face feels clean afterwards and i'm going to start using olay again because i see more dirt come out than when using kiehl's.

for masks i switch between kiehl's rare earth facial cleansing mask and queen helene mint julep mask. i don't know whether they're working or not. can't tell.

for moisturizers, i use origins a perfect world white tea skin guardian. it's not really a moisturizer. it's supposed to be something you put on before moisturizing but whatever. it's nice because it's very light and silky.

hmmm anyone know where you can get oatmeal masks in Australia? cos i wanna try. Oh and I wanna know how you use Shea Butter, cos i have some at home. I'm not quite sure if i've used it correctly but do u just apply it like its cream? cos i found it greasy and somewhat sticky...but ppl say its good for your skin...

Skin products

Whats your favorite skin products? Right now I have Dior 3step and its works really good! :flower:

The good thing is that it dosent have any mineral oil in it too

mine are Dr. Hauschka. Don't have mineral oil either and are organic which i love

never heard of the name before :o

^ they are products originally from Germany, and well, i have had very good results with them
There is a thread on Dr Hauschka here at tFS if you do a search, if you're interested in knowing more about them :flower:

They are sold in some big department stores (i know Harvey Nichols in London, Magasin in Copenhagen, and a big one in Berlin (but i forgot the name) has them) but they are also sold in health stores.

though its a face wash i looooovee the bodyshop's tea tree oil wash. moisturises dry skin but doesnt make oily skin worse and it really makes our face soooft :D

I love love love the Jurlique range because it smells great and it's organic. I'm using the Face Wash Cream (it's actually a soft mushie face scrub/exfoliator), Cleansing Lotion, Pure Rosewater Freshener (as a sort of toner) and the Daily Face Care Lotion. I used to use Clinique and Biotherm, Clinique was pretty okay. I'd love to use SKII though.

i have a few products in rotation right now, and the standout star is kiehl's pineapple papaya scrub

neutrogena extra gentle cleanse and cetaphil moisterizor (hate their cleanser though!)

I tried a lot of products and I agree that every skin is different, now I just use:
keratoplast cream soap and chamomile lotion from Mario Badescu (because my skin is very sensitive and often with redness)
a night moisturizer for impure skin from L'erbolario, this is absolutely great! :woot:
a scrub once a week, now I'm using one from my dermatologist.
That's all. :D

Scrubs & exfoliators are great & essential to the "skincare regime", but certainly not best for people w/ highly acneic skin..

Right now, Ive been using the Dermalogica line...Great products & reasonable price-point (with this line, I feel the old adage "You get what you paid for" definitely applies)..
