have anyone here guys have tried Idealist by Estee Lauder & Creme de la Mer?

I am thinking of combining them together???

i use Idealist and i LOVE it... but then it really isn't all that great a product (although i just said i love it :P)
i mean it's quite pricey and basically there is this ingredient in there (i think it's called squalene... but i could be wrong) which makes u feel powdery soft and smooth... but then your skin is actually only half as smooth as u think because it coats your fingers aswell... so don't be fooled... also u find this same ingredient in many cheaper products!

i would recommend SKII but it is totally overpriced
i have never used La Mer before... i also think it is overpriced...

Cetaphile Gentle Cleanser
St. Ives apricot scrub for sensitive skin (mix a little with cetaphil)
rosewater toner
origins spot remover (works super fast!):woot:

Vichy Normaderm: -exfoliating cleansing gel, -deep cleansing gel, -toner,
sometimes i use L'oreal Pure zone peeling gel, it makes my skin looking fresh and smells like mint ^_^
moisturizer i use also Normaderm or Lancome Pure Focus (anti-ageing matifying cream-gel)
lips: Oriflame balm or Nivea moisturizer

As most do
I cleanse, moisturize, and
Scrub or Mask once a week
I always remove my makeup before bed even if I'm dead tired
I have Acne prone skin so I have to be careful

Products I use...
Aveeno Pos. Face Wash and Scrub
IS Clinical Hydrocool and Active Serums-
IS clinical VIT B complex
DDF Matt Finish Sunscreen SPF 30
Zia products are good as well ( whole foods)

stuff I use, and recommend:
Cleanser - Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser (enough said)
Toner/Moisturizer Evian Brumisateur
Moisturizer - Olay Complete
Exfoliation - St. Ives Gentle Apricot Scrub

I kinda want to try that $120 MDSkincare Moisturizer, but don't know if its worth the money. Anyone had any experience with it?

Dr Hauschkas moisturizing day dream works miracles for my skin...

when I went skiing the other week I put it on my face before I went out to the slopes. It was -8 Celsius (17 Fahrenheit) and the wind was quite cold and blowing hard. 6h later when I was back when I got back my face was just as soft as it was when I went out...

i would really recommend estee luaders micro-d thermal refinisher paired with the skin refinisher. If im ever having a problem with my skin this will always be my saviour. I also would recommend chanel hydramax gel cream. The texture is  and im addicted to its scent.. reminds me of the summer breeze lol

Philosophy On a Clear Day.

I only started using it a couple of days ago, but my skin has cleared up so much already, it's amazing. It was in a horrible state from quitting smoking, not enough water, too much junk food over xmas.

I recently started using Lancome moisturizer and toner after my face started breaking out after using Avon products for over a year. The line is called Pure Focus.

^ I got this from a book on aromatherapy called "Scentual Touch" by a Judith Jackson:

"find a product with natural, active moisturizing ingredients, including essential oils, and without mineral oil. Mineral oil is made from petroleum and is incompatible with the fats in human skin. It lies like a film over the skin, forming a barrier, so that nothing can get in or out. Skin needs to breathe."

Since i read that a couple of years ago, i have been checking ingredients in skin care products and staying away from it as much as possible. I don't think it will damage much (recalling winters playing in the snow with face completely slathered in vaseline by mom - vaseline is basically petroleum/mineral oil) but if i can chose a healthier option, and something that will actively nourish my skin instead of just laying outside like a barrier, i will.
(That said, i still use vaseline on my lips)

Look out for "petroleum", "petrolatum", "mineral oil" on product labels if u want to avoid it too.

:flower:

Proactiv Solution, Neutrogena blackhead eliminating scrub, Neutrogena blackhead eliminating astringent, Clean and clear deep cleaning astringent, St. Ives Apricot scrub

^^ okay i also just googled "mineral oil" and found this:

"The notion that mineral oil and petrolatum (Vaseline) are bad for skin has been around for some time, with Aveda being the most visible company to mount a crusade deriding these ingredients. According to many companies that produce "natural" cosmetics, mineral oil and petrolatum are terrible ingredients because they come from crude oil (petroleum) and are used in industry as metal-cutting fluid (among other uses) and, therefore, can harm the skin by forming an oil film and suffocating it.

This foolish, recurring misinformation about mineral oil and petrolatum is maddening. After all, crude oil is as natural as any other earth-derived substance. Moreover, lots of ingredients are derived from awful-sounding sources but are nevertheless benign and totally safe. Salt is a perfect example. Common table salt is sodium chloride, composed of sodium and chloride, but salt doesn't have the caustic properties of chloride (a form of chlorine) or the unstable explosiveness of sodium. In fact, it is a completely different compound with the harmful properties of neither of its components.

Cosmetics-grade mineral oil and petrolatum are considered the safest, most nonirritating moisturizing ingredients ever found (Sources: Cosmetics & Toiletries, January 2001, page 79; Cosmetic Dermatology, September 2000, pages 44–46). Yes, they can keep air off the skin to some extent, but that's what a good antioxidant is supposed to do; they don't suffocate skin! Moreover, petrolatum and mineral oil are known for being efficacious in wound healing, and are also considered to be among the most effective moisturizing ingredients available (Source: Cosmetics & Toiletries, February 1998, pages 33–40)."

So apparently this is debatable.. For myself, i prefer skincare products without it, and have had the best experiences with those ! ;)

I am getting lots of complimets about my skin and there are three product that I swear for:
- Avene Diacneal (with AHA and retinaldehyde)
- La Roche Posay Sunscreen Anthelios Dermo-Pediatrics spf 60 that I use religiuosly everyday - but I live in Europe where all Mexoryls are accepted or
Avene Sunscreen Emulsion spf 50

I make my own ACV toner and aspirin mask.
I am using only natural brands like Weleda (a German brand) face creams and also like Dr Hauschka (their Rejuvenating Mask is a must, cleansing milk and Quince day cream is also ok, especially in winter).

I would just read what is in the ingredients list not what is on the packaging as sometimes what a leaflet says is completely different from what the cream does on your face
That famous Creme de la Mer and it's fairytale about NASA scientist...Kate Moss would do better if she would invest in some vitamin C serum - it would help her skin of a smoker much more effectively :innocent:

Foamless Shaving Cream
Post Shaving Balm
Marine Cleasing Gel
Face Oasis Day Moisturizer

All Poducts by: H2OPlus

These products are derived by sea minerals, very soothing and light. The moisturizers are light and don't feel heavy and definatley not oily which is why I love it. I find many men's moisturizers heavy and oily and this moisturizer feels like you aren't even using cream. Excellent products.

I recomend all these products highly. There are many things about my physical feautures I do not like. However when it comes to my skin, I am very proud. I have no blemishes, smooth, and a great tone skin complextion. I am especially happy since well I do shave often and all these products repair my skin and leave it looking wonderful. Considering I'm 18 which is an age most men get bad skin, I have gotten many compliments about my skin by various people, even workers at the Estee Lauder Spa. So be sure to check out these products, I highly recomend them.
