has that been helping u ??.. :S.. ma dermatologist never mentioned coconut oil.. i would imagine that is only for moisturizer...

I was wondering if anyone tried applying self-tanner to hide stretch marks? I've read this in some article. Does it work? I'm starting to believe that the only thing that will make stretch marks go away is time.

Mmm I don't know if this would apply to anyone on here because as far as I know it isn't too common but unexplained stretch marks can also be caused by marfan syndrome.

I had some growth marks on my left hip and also on my breasts in a few places and this really worked cleaning them up. I also know alot of women (including my mum) who use(d) it on their stomach during and after pregnancy and they really have the most minimal (incredibly so) stretch marks as a result. Also its a great conditioner for your skin and hair. At the very least you'll smell great.

well... like were ur stretch marks red wen u applied it?.. cuz at that time...ne really good moisturizer... will help..plus those purple stretch marks always always fade to white....so i dont really no wat to say to that... if its really ur coconut oil or its just ur natural skin processes that it goes through.

I'm actually just using a generic drug store brand of aloe vera. It works so well you guys, I'm so serious, I used it yesterday and today and they're so faded already, craziness! love it

The next day! Shugga are you sure someone didnt just draw on your behind with white chalk?

I agree that because they were only growth marks that they would (or should) eventually go away but using the coconut oil had alot to do with it also (excalerating the process). Besides it has worked in regard to all of the mothers. You might as well give it a go (its cheap, atleast here it is) and even if it doesn't correct the marks straight out it will improve/give you great skin (especially when used on the face).

stretchmarks on the hips/chest, i agree, don't really matter.
Arms and back of legs are more annoying for people i think.
Hopefully in a few years time they'll come up with something genius. The people who do will be kazillionares and have my undying love.

Collagen is present in the retina as well, so any decrease in collagen in your skin can mean a decrease in collagen elsewhere. Although its not always as noticeable or dramatic in your eyes, when you think there may be a correlation between your stretch marks and your eyesight, see a doctor. But be prepared to talk about your entire medical history when you get there, as it can be hard to prove this correlation.

I had a baby in October and I can not get the stretch marks on the front of my hips/sides of my stomach to go away. they've lightened a bit but they are still there.

I had some on my boobs and they meanwhile disappeared!!! Soo there is some hope that after some time we all will get rid of them!!!
