Stretch Marks

If your stretchmarks are still "purple" meaning you've gotten them in the past few months creams and lasers MAY work. If theyre older than that (theyre silverly/white/pink or maybe a faded purple color), then no.. nothing will work. Dont buy into the hype of every new thing, it wont work, you'll still have your stretch marks & some useless products/treatments.

I have some marks on the inside of my thighs and I use Vita-K solution after every time I shower. I've noticed some fading -- or at least the color of the marks has become a lot more even with my skin tone. It retails for about 12.99 US dollars.

my boyfriend says that theres a new machine released in the us that removes (old - white) stretch marks. anyone heard of it? sounds too good to be true to me.

I'm 20 and have got stretch marks after growing some hips pretty much overnight when I was about 15 or 16.

They are white now, but they're these deep ridges and they're on my butt and so when I wear a bikini because of the way the lines are it looks like I have cellulite or sth. just, you can really see the lines and sometimes they look indented.

It makes me feel really self conscious, which sucks because besides that I really don't have any problems with my body.

I've tried all sorts of creams but nothing helped.
Now I do seem to see a slight improvement with dry skin brushing and applying argan oil.
I read that argan oil worked, even for white stretch marks, so I had my mom bring some home from her vacation in Morocco.
so yes, I do think I see some improvement but they're not gone or anything.

I would get laser if I had the money...

i got strech marks al over my thighs and but when i was 11/10. now i still have them, at almost 18.... its sucks.

I have some on my thighs, which no matter what don't seem to be going anywhere.
the ones on my breasts seem to be fading a little from using bio oil though.

i have tons on my thighs and hips. they are one of my biggest insecurities and when i started getting them at age 12/13 i was HORRIFIED. i'm now 23 and am still not very happy about it but i guess there's nothing i can do.

:(

Stretch marks appear when the tissue tears..that cant be fixed by laser
I have them on my back .. i have a cream ..but its supposed to be applied 3 times a day for at least 3 weeks for any effect: http://www.kleinbecker.com/

^Actually, laser stimulates healing underneath your top layers of skin, so it could very well help to heal it :)

I can export them.
They're mostly on my hips, or better said, on my hipbones! They're white.

I just went to the washroom...and noticed...wtf!! I have a new stretchmark? I didn't gain or lose any weight but here is this huge stretch mark forming on my already stretch marked thighs. Oh man am I ticked!

I was very skinny all my life and i had three stretch marks on my thighs all of a sudden.I was like WTF? how was that possible?

Now that i got fatter i was expecting new ones but till now they didn't materialize. But I found it impossible to make the old ones disappear.

I have darker stretch marks on my lower stomach and small lighter ones higher up..........got them after having 2 babies!
They don't seem to fade but it doesn't bother me.

I thought I was the only one who had stretch marks that looked like cellulite (though usually only when that area is 'squashed'). I know it isn't cellulite because I can see the different colour in the dented in parts and the tiny stretch lines in them. I can also feel that there is no fat underneath (smooth and not lumpy).

I really hate how everyone believes stretch marks only come from having been fat or growing fatter. What about growing boobs and hips? What about building muscle underneath the skin? What about growing taller with a growth spurt during puberty? Anything that changes your body shape enough to stretch skin can cause stretch marks, not just having fat.

It is totally obnoxious isn't it! I looked at these stretch marks, it's almost like the old stretch marks are stretching further... However I bought some bio-oil and while I don't believe bio-oil actually works, I have been applying it to the new stretched stretch marks and it seems to be causing them to lapse into the old ones without the blazing redness...the other leg that has a tiny mark from a similar situation turned red not white. I think it's the massaging stimulating collagen production or something but just so you know when you get a random stretch mark next time try it and it might just work.

ETA: I don't know about Melfreya but I'm 21 so I don't think I suddenly grew thighs or anything. I obviously realize stretch marks can come from the change in your body shape during puberty - that's where the majority of mine came from. I guess I could be building muscle in my thighs from more activity or something.

yeah; mine are also only when things are "squashed" as you say. haha. it's hard to explain. But with me it's when I ut my leg backwards or sth, then the ski gets pushed together and you can see all the lines.
My stretch marks aren't tiny lines though. they're really sort of wide and they start at my hipbone and then all over the side of my butt to my "butt bone" (I don't know the name haha). there's not just one, I'd say there's about 10 of those lines (sort of running parallel) on each side of my butt.

I showed them to my derm and she said they weren't that bad?! she's crazy

thanks for the info kisa,it's exactly the same with me!!!!!..I'll give it a try!:flower:
and melange,I already know about all the facts you mentioned..thing is none of them applies to me..my body has been the same for the last 4-5 years,no bigger anywhere,no growth spurt..i'm 25:lol: and about the muscle, well,my activities have stayed exactly the same-exercise 3 times a week from I don't remember since when..and I do moisturize religiously everyday..
so you can imagine my horror when new ones appear..

I have the worst stretch marks on earth, they are all over my upper thighs, hips, calves, and back of arms. I got some during puberty, then weight flucuations. So pathetic!
