Reviews
*I've actually seen most of the movies, so sorry if I am a tough critic!

Raquel Zimmerman- This is a really cool photo. Even though the film you chose is a children's movie, this photo fits the mood of it... Raquel really does seem monstrous and animalistic in it.

Kim Noorda- Wow, this picture is very interesting! I think you really captured the decadence of Marie Antoinette here. The expression on Kim's face is also one of being a little lost, so that fits well too....and I can actually imagine M-A loving that cotton candy colored wig.

Gemma Ward- You also captured some of the decadence of Maria Antoinette very well but you also showed some of M-A's personality. In the film, M-A is portrayed as being kind of awkward, like a little girl, because she isn't used to being considered royalty and to her new lifestyle without her family. You showed that really well, especially in Gemma's pose. Great work.

Tetyana- Well, it definitely looks like Tetyana is singing, but I don't think you really captured the glamour of showbusiness and the energy that was in the film... I agree with yogini that this film was full of color, so I would have prefered if you didn't chose a black and white picture.

Romina- Not my favorite entry. The picture that you chose could work for this challenge and the movie you chose, but it could also work for many many more challenges...nothing is really that distinctive about it, for me.

Sasha- Very interesting submission. I like how Sasha is going crazy because that's how M-A wanted to act, her being a teenager in all, but also M-A was pretty reserved most of the time because she knew she couldn't act like that...I really like the picture, though.

Darla Baker- I like that you chose Little Miss Sunshine as your movie, but to me this doesn't really fit. Darla looks kind of lolita-esque, while Olive pretty innocent...I was kind of expecting something different.

Tiiu Kuik- Wow, this looks as if it were actually a still shot from a scene in the movie! Tiiu looks powerful and rich, but also kind of lonely and unhappy, just like Beyonce's character in the movie. I really like the lighting in this picture also, good work.

Mona Johanneson- I would have liked to see more color in your entry...I don't know, this is kind of so-so for me too. Mona does look like she's a famous singer or something, but it doesn't totally fit the Dreamgirls mood.

Natalia Vodianova- Wow! I like how Natalia looks young here because M-A was very young when she was the queen of France...she really does look like royalty here, too. I also love the quote that you used.

Jessica Stam- I agree with yogini that Jess wouldn't look that scary if she weren't surrounded by skeltons...but I do like the picture, it seems like it's something that would actually be inside a monster house.

Elise- I don't really see it at all to be quite honest with you. Your description of the picture doesn't fit the plot totally accurately and the picture seems a little random to me. You did capture the bleak mood of Babel, but this really doesn't work for me.

Sophie Vlaming- The abscence and lack of communication in Babel is a big part of the film, but I feel like that you took that a little too literally. Not my favorite of your entries.

Angela- I think you showed some of Olive's playfulness and childishness in this picture, but kind of so-so for me. Little Miss Sunshine is a hard movie to represent, I would have really liked it if you showed some of the dyfunctional family dynamic from the movie in your picture.

Agyness Deyn- Agyness does look a little like "oh my god!" but I think this more of a picture of her looking innocent and sweet rather than afraid of global warming. I really do commend you for choosing to represent An Inconvient Truth in this challenge because it was definitely a hard one to show in a picture.

Vlada Roslyakova- I really like how the colors in the Inconvient Truth poster and your picture match. You interpretted the movie quite well and I like how you mentioned the room looked the way it did in the picture. Good work.

Hilary Rhoda- Awesome job! I think this really fits how Andy is feeling in the movie... confused, frantic and a little clueless. This works so perfectly, I love it.

Irina Lazareanu- I haven't seen Pan's Labyrinth (actually, I'm seeing it later today) but the impression that I got from the movie trailer is that the film is really dark and actually quite violent. I think this fits the magical aspect of the film well, but it's maybe a little too light and airy (can't think of any other words to describe it, but you know what I mean?)

Bette Franke- I like the concept of the photo, but you can't really see Bette's face here.... I would like it if we could kind of see her face and she looked as if she was afraid or screaming, like she were actually in a monster house....to me, it looks like she's just breathing.

Inguna Butane- I think this could be translated as being a picture of someone who has just lost their child, but in the film, Susan doesn't look decadent at all like Inguna and she's bottling her emotions up inside of herself, so in that way it doesn't totally work for me. I do like your description.

Alison Nix- I love your story, but in the picture, I wish there wasn't so much focus on her cutting the apple. In one of the small pictures, I do see her looking afraid and questioning the strangness of the house and I like that, though. I also like how we see the house in the photo.

Paulina Kouklina- I like that you chose to represent The Queen, and at first, I was kind of like "huh?" when I saw your picture because Helen Mirren doesn;t look like that at all, but I like you entry a lot. Your description really helped me see what you were trying to bring across in the picture... I can really get a sense of all the emotions she's feeling and pressure she is facing. Good work.

Well, thanks for the reviews, I haven't seen the film so I couldn't possibly know that the film was so colourful... but it's ok :flower:

Thanks Yogini - I wish that the picture was in the woods too..
Thanks Cutx - I Haven't seen it either, I understand what you mean :flower: I knew the picture wasn''t dark, but I was hoping for magical.

:doh:I haven't seen the movie,i read a summary,that's how i did it...
Anyway thanks for the reviews cutx:flower:

Thanks for the reviews Cutx. I am more nervous than before though. That was such a hard challenge with Romina's limited portfolio.

sorry to leave the last 6 of you hanging!

Snejana Onopka- I love your entry... I think the sotry is perfect and I love the photograph. It's magical, but I don't know if it totally fits Pan's Labyrinth....but, still, amazing, amazing entry.

Alex Wek- I like how we can't see Alek's face but there is a lot of emotion in this photograph... I imagine that she's crying here...to me, this reminds me of Susan in Babel.

Bianca- Bianca as the sultry lounge singer! I really like her pose, she looks like she is just oozing sensuality right down to the tips of her fingers. The costume looks like it belongs in Dreamgirls, you did a good job of representing the movie.

Shannan Click- Your description gives the perfect overview of the movie, but I can't see any of it in your picture... it feels like you just chose a random picture to me. I don't really see a balance between traditional and modern, public and private.

Iekeliene- The bow on Iek's head gives her some of the innocence of Olive, but I don't totally see it...I like your entry, but I don't love it.... I agree with you that a candid picture of Iek in her funny glasses would have been perfect!

Coco- Wow, she looks exactly like Miranda! I can totally imagine this as a still photograph from the film... everything perfectly matches the film! Great work.

I was trying to go for a look that suits the competer of a beauty pageant, not necesarily Olive, but I understand your critics..so thanks! :flower:

Thanks for the review cutx! I wish there was less focus on the apple too, but I loved the pictures they are like movie stills!

Thankyou cutx for the reviews!:flower: I'm so glad that you could see the emotions I was trying to get across in the picture.
