I like wearing my suspenders/braces over unexpected things like silk/satin racerback tops tucked into a pencil skirt or loose men's trousers. It's that contrast of masculine and feminine which I love. I buy vintage ones coz they come in all sorts of colours. I'm gonna try suspenders with fuller skirts of puffy skirts for S/S 06!

Traditional ones are the ones with holes that clip onto buttons on the inside of the waistband (and the back of the waistband should split into two 'lips').

That backstage at Cacharel is really lovely Suspenders over here in England are what you'd use to hold your stockings up with.

Braces make me think of comic book newspaper editors...They also make me think of city bankers (did Tom Hanks ever wear them in Bonfire of the Vanities?)
