Suspenders

I think they are really cute! While I hate things that become 'trendy'.... I have a feeling I could deal with these.... way easier to take off than a belt;)

^ only for boys though.. I think overalls ect. are soo tacky!... though that vest is cute. (but I super<3 vests so.. theres my bias)

(both from models street style thread)

I loooove the crossed in front look for women (MiuMiu spring 2006 -Vogue, last page) but again, probably have to be fairly flat chested to pull that off...

Some people here seem to be traditionalists, staying away from the clip on types... My question is, how?? I don't think many pants come equipped with buttons for braces these days, so you'd have to sew them into every pair you want to wear them with (which would be a huge problem for me as I would try ten different combinations before I found one I liked. Only other alternative I can see is pinning them inside, but is this really worth the PITA to avoid clip-ons? Anybody have a trick to making the button-ons work easily?

If anyone has more pics of suspenders as a belt, please post 'em!

^That second picture above reminds me of Alejandro!

I don't like suspenders. I think they look really ridiculous on the runway and in ads, which means it'd look even dumber on the street.

I think suspenders look very nice on women & I don't think one would have to be flat chested to get away with wearing them. If anything, they might look too androgynous on a flat chested woman.

Braces are one of those items of clothing that I've never had the guts to wear for fear of looking like a female member of some 70s oi band.

i think for the most part, no.
especially most of the pics posted.:yuk:
it seems like they just threw suspenders on an outfit, just cause.
the thin ones, yes, but even then, it must be done tastefully.

There is something about this trend i really don't like..I can't put a finger on it but it makes me go ugg:cry: :ninja: ...only a few people can pull it off.

I think that you would probably have to buy some men's trousers for suspender buttons.... but even then i dont see them very often...
