Sweat...what to do about it?

It gets extremely hot where I live. It gets from 90 to 110 degrees and I have oily/combo face. Do you girls do anything to help get rid of the greasy looking face without adding powder? I wish there was some kind of cool cloth that will wipe the sweaty-ness off and leave your skin less shiny and oily looking. I have blotting paper but my face still feels sticky eck. Any suggestions?

What about the facial cleansing wipes? Yeah you would have to reapply your make up, but they are cooling.

Do you live in Central CA? I was jsut there and it was not even 90 degrees yet, but I walked oh-two blocks to Whole Foods and got sweat under my arms and on my back. There is a thread I think about this, but there is something I am actually going to talk to my doctor or a dermatologist about-bromhidrosis is a skin disorder that is commonly referred to as B.O. (Body Odor) and then there is Hyperhidrosis-abnormally increased perspiration, and then anhidrosis is lack of sweat.

I sweat so easily its embarassing actually at times, I am at the gym and sure everyone sweats up a bunch there but I can literally wring my shirt out after 45 minutes of cardio.

I know people get Botox in their underarms for these disorders, but that's expensive. Do share anything you find out, and I'm sorry I dont have any product recommendations other than carrying a mist around like Evian's facial spray and spritizing your face all day...or maybe go without makeup? Warm climates that become so irritatingly hot are a pain for people who wear foundation or powder or any kind of makeup for that matter.

I am definitely the same. I have had people come up to me at the gym after my cardio and say they get tired from watching me, and yes, my clothes are sopping.

Interesting to see what others learn, but one thing I do know is that it takes more than just an anti-perspirant, etc. Sweating is a natural bodily function, and if you stop one area, it will materialize somewhere else.

You can get specialised anti-perspirants that you apply 2 times a week that near enough stop you sweating. The one I have used is perspirex and it stopped all sweat. The only downside for girls is that you can't shave your underarms as often.

i always hear those are bad^ You want to let the body naturally cool itself, to perspire..


it's summer here and i'm in the same situation,
only that my skin gets more oily, in the heat.. and shines even more with the perspiration
i actually don't go out during the day that's my solution.. i wait till the sun goes down or if i know i'm getting a ride somewhere and knowing that i will be inside a building in a min or two.

but when i'm desperate, i just use the public washroom and wash my face.. a small handtowel (with the pile) works better than just paper towel it seems. it really soaks up almost everything

I live in Australia, so ouf course I've faced this problem I find that blotting papers work wonders. Wouldn't leave home without them! What kind are you using? Your face shouldn't feel too sticky after blotting... Also, have you tried some sort of oil control lotion under your makeup? Or a mattifyer?
