I thought it was Tennant too, at first, and was about to leap for joy at a model cover (although I still think it's underwhelming) until i read the other posts and realised it was the Twilight actress, who doesn't look a thing like Tennant IRL .
Bad cover. With her features she can rival Jodie Foster for looking androgynous (they played mother and daughter in the panic room) and that is not a good thing.
At first I barfed at the cover too, but, on second thought, I'm really glad that they chose this image. I like that Vogue didn't have the need to make Kristen look her best. Many girls can't sustain/attain the usual teeny-bopper glammed up image, so it's nice to see something so casual and slightly unflattering.
I know I can't blame magazines completely for young girls' image problems, but I'm sure a constant parade of perfected images doesn't help the matter. So I'm hoping that this cover is encouraging to the more average looking girl out there. I know it let me relax about my own image a bit.
