Alexander McQueen's are love.

i can't see that at all,

2 completely different concepts and ways of thinking-

balanciaga is modern clean lines, almost alien in its organic shapes, very much construction.

prada/miu miu is history, decadence (hence silks, columns, gilt) and an oscar wilde sort of aestete outlook.

to say one is coyping another or that colourful decorated shoes belong exclusively to one designer is silly to me.

Hm. Maybe I'm not good with change or perhaps not creative enough but I feel like there should be at least SOME aesthetic foreplay before introducing radical styles such as these. The dimentions and angles just seem so off and unattractive - and not in a provocative way.
I really only like 3 of them, (one from chanel, two from McQueen) but applaud other members' adventurousness.
Not sure how they will sell, but perhaps the brave and the beautiful can pave the way and maybe even change my traditional old head.

Those are great Mary Janes ... and Gucci too! (I'm usually not a huge fan of Gucci shoes, though their patent peep-toe oxfords this spring are pretty cute ...) Love the little detail at the back ...
