The 2007 Academy Awards

Natalie Portman, Naomi Campbel, Lucy Liu and Diane Kruger look awful. Natalie is really losing the looks she had as a child.

Gosh all these randoms coming out of the woodwork. Where has Amy Smart been all these years?

Karolina Kurkova looks phenomenal even though I have never really liked her face.

The Cruz family are ridiculous. Not only was Penelope's red carpet dress awesome, but so was her after-show dress and then she has a gorgeous sister to boot. Not fair.

Bai Ling and Tara Reid look decent?! The world has stopped spinning on its axis.

My Top 7 Best, Worst and somewhere in between looks at the Oscars ~

Best ~

Gwyneth Paltrow ~ At first glance I wasn't really feeling the color but with every look everything worked. She truly looked beautiful.

Jennifer Lopez ~ I have always found her overrated in every sense but last night she was a stunning vision. Truly the best she has ever looked.

Maggie Gyllenhaal
~ That is the best I have ever seen her look.

Isla Fisher ~ A perfect color choice (emerald green) with her locks...just beautiful.

Rinko Kikuchi - She definitely deserves the Most Improved Award (lol). She looked great.

Celine Dion- Celine looked marvelous.

Diane Keaton
- Be still my heart....I was shocked. She looked amazing. Hard to believe that it was the same woman who has emulated Charlie Chaplin with her fashion choices in the past.

Honorable Mentions: Rachel Weisz and Emily Blunt.

Worst ~

Eva Green - It looked like a bunch of baby's breath wrapped in a drab color cloth.

Jennifer Hudson- There is no excuse for that mess. You are the current "It" girl and you choose or lawd have mercy have someone choose to put you in a too small shiny space cadet jacket with a brown dress that includes pockets? The hell?

Beyonce - I loved the hair and makeup but that dress? Oh No! The color looked great with her skin tone but they should have gotten rid of that shoulder adornment and opted for a silver or diamond encrusted strap and I would have just had the bottom of the dress completely dropped to the floor instead of having a slit going up the leg...ehh it was just wrong.

Kirsten Dunst
- It looked like a dress that someone of Helen Mirren's age should be wearing.

Anne Hathaway - Where is Stanley Tucci when we need him?. :p The jewelry, the hair and makeup were great but that dress and on her body frame where all wrong.

Jessica Biel - Her hair was atrocious and though I am a fan of the colors pink and black, I think if the dress would have been in white and black it would have looked much better.

Jada Pinkett Smith - Why? She's a beautiful lady and A+'s go out to the hair and makeup but that dress was not flattering on her tiny frame and really I just didn't care for it in general.

In Between ~

Cate Blanchette- A part of me loved this look on her, she definitely has the shape to wear such an ensemble-Yet that other part is me wishing she would have opted for color.

Penelope Cruz- The hair pulled back made her face look too severe.

Reese Witherspoon - I loved the dress but the fact that her hair was just a longer version of how it was at the Golden Globes brought the look down several notches.

Portie De Rossi - The hair ruined the look...everything else was on point.

Nicole Kidman - Red is a wonderful color for her skin tone but I didn't like the bow nor her hair.

Kate Winslet - I loved the dress but in that light green color it washed her out.

Helen Mirren - She's great and all that jazz but I preferred her Golden Globes look as oppose to what she wore last night.

The Show ~ I didn't think the show was ever going to end, seriously how many video montages do I need to see? Yet Ellen  was a great host which made the hours not so painful to endure.

Top 5 Favorite Moments ~

5: Ellen having her picture taken with Clint Eastwood for "myspace" by Steven Spielberg

4: Helen Mirren, Forrest Whitaker & Martin Scorsese winning.

3: Ellen walking through the aisle only to end up by Martin Scorsese and giving him her screenplay to look over for the future.

2: Emily Blunt & Anne Hathaway presenting Best Costume Design and noticing Miranda err Meryl in the audience only to be given a cool/warning look for their gushing efforts.

1: Jaden Smith & Abigail Breslin presenting two awards. :flower:

Thanks to everyone who posted the various pics
. ;)

my fav. dress is reese witherspoon's. i just love purple <3

Me too. I love how we have been seeing her in so much color lately. It is like she is in a brighter place in her life right now. I thought she looked better last night than last year when she won!

I also adored Penelop Cruz last night and thought Nicole Kidman's dress really suited her well.

I didn't hate anyone's dress except for Kirsten Dunst and did not like Anna Hathaway and her big bows either. :yuk:

thanks for all the photos.....
ellen and portia look so wonderful and happy together---i adore them both

This is my debut in the "Star Style" forums. Let me just say that I liked Penelope Cruz, Maggie (last name?), and even Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer Hudson was beautiful. She was crying happy tears when she picked up an Oscar. I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I want to give a special shoutout to Abigail Breslin. She was SO adorably cute in her dress. She was a very adorable little girl in a beautiful dress. Simply amazing.

Cate Blanchet & Penelope Cruz. Ik was all about them

Beyonce looked a mess. Jennifer Hudson's silver jacket was the weirdest thing ever.

I really enjoyed the Ellen/Clint/myspace moment. LOL! Clint is so adorable. Also loved the Jack Black/Will Ferrell/John C. Reilly musical number. And yeah, I loved the silhouettes! They were amazing. :) Forest Whitaker's speech was my favorite; omg, I was bawling. He's amazing, in more than just acting. Loved Helen Mirren's speech, too. And LOVED WHEN SCORSESE WON!!!

My favorite look at the Oscars was definitely Jennifer Lopez. I thought that was the best she's ever looked.
