The 4-5 piece French wardrobe combinations thread

Wow, that has to be my favourite look of your, Betina! Beautiful. ^_^
(Also have to mention the compositon and colour harmony of photos are excellent.)

Thank you so much! I really try my best to take beautiful pictures for my blog and spend quite some time in photoshop improving lights and colors, so it is nice to know that I am doing something right.

betina, you look great! that scarf is perfect, the colour and the proportions.

me, today: vanessa bruno high waisted wide legged jeans, petit bateau charcoal t-shirt, vanessa bruno sheer silk black top, humanoid black wool thin cardigan. deep red nailpolish. still contemplating the shoes :)

Sounds like a great outfit. I love wide legged pants - looks so elegant.

Mango skirt (July 2012)
Benneton sweater (October 2012)
MDK boots (March 2013)
YSL clutch (August 2012)
BOSS scarf (October 2013).

Love your cape Betinapple, I'm a sucker for capes, they are so elegant!

Thank you! I really enjoy it as well, and this year I have actually worn it quite a lot since the fall has been so mild. I haven't really started wearing my winter jacket yet.

Bettina, your scarf is so pretty! How is your Benetton sweater?

Thank you - I really love it :)

I have been quite happy with the Benneton sweater, it is soft and warm. It pills though, but it is nothing a lint shaver cant fix.

today: vintage mustard cotton blouse (from Berlin, the label says 'devil's fashion' :)), mustard pomandère knit, hope black jeans, officine creative oxfords.

^ :) :) :)

I guess the devil designed those shirts ;) He wears black, but wants us to wear mustard.

Haha, of course, devils wear mustard. Does that mean I get to be editor in chief of VOGUE some day?

I've got this nice dress from French Connection, but I haven't worn it since I bought it a year ago. I don't know how to combine it with other things making it casual enough for everyday wear or even wearing it to work. Any ideas? Please spill them!

I suppose the easiest way would be to keep jewellery and other less casual accessories to a bare minimum. I would wear it with knitted tights and flat casual boots and maybe a parka or cardigan, just make sure all the accessories and other clothing is as casual as possible. I don't know how the dress fits but it might also be possible to add a knit on top completely covering the upper part so it looks like a jumper and skirt instead of a dress.

recently I bought the perfect white shirt but I don't have a clue how to wear it during winter - it's really cold here! any ideas?

I wear button up shirts every day lately: I layer them with a cashmere cardigan, a blazer (I work at a bank...) and my winter coat on top.

Or if you don't want to wear anything on top of the shirt, maybe a merino underlayer, either a tank or long-sleeved top with a lower neckline?
