The 90s Comeback

No, you're not! :flower:

The thing is that we don't have periods anymore IMO.
The 90s were the real last period. Nowadays everything is allowed.

Aw, I miss the 90's style, I remember me and my friends used to dress up as the Spice Girls!

I'm starting to see a lot of 501 cut-off shorts with plaid shirts. With Docs... Very 90s. Very Nirvana/Marc Jacobs grunge.

i remember fitting tees under long slip dresses

grunge.loved it because i was in my late teens/early 20s then and was forever in my cute dresses and doc marts

So I thought in the 90s - now, in hindsight - it's a different story. Wait til the.... 10s (???) and you'll see ;) (hey, its just 12 years 'til we are living in the 20s :D)

When I think of the 90s, I always think of the movie Clueless. Oh happy times ... I wanted to have Cher's wardrobe so badly :D

i wish all the period trends would just die. In fact, i think there was a thread floating around titled "the death of the period trends". Am I wrong?

Don't know about the thread but agree with what u said, the thing is that I think the world has collapsed in many elements, since this new century we have been recycling and recycling past ideas (with some changes, off course), and that's just scary.

Im noticing tees under spaghetti trapped dresses again & the baggy slightly tapered jeans.

And I never stopped wearing scrunchies but ONLY in around the house lol.

tshirts under spaghetti straps? ew no say it aint so!

I should have said wider strapless dresses I dont know about seeing the spaghetti straps now but I know Ive seen the wider ones.

well i'm into it. sort of obsessed with certain 90s heek shapes. thick and high sort of thing. but just so, of course. but i won't be doing any of that super skinny eyebrow business.

^yes definitely not. the makeup of the 90s was well, interesting too. It's like the heroin chic transformed into dark brown/redbrown lipstick.. and you can't forget GLITTER!

tight capri pants that went right under the knee

chunky leather boots, or Docs (even with kids.. I had some white slip-ons with a flower cut-out)

long sleeveless dresses with high necklines (a la kate moss)

mid-rise, medium wash boyfriend jeans

the happy face, peace sign, and bellbottoms: 70s revival

cheesy looking floral patterns

spaghetti straps/baby tees that exposed the midriff..

besides the whole grunge era from the 90s, let's keep in mind romy and michelle and clueless =)

- Levi's jeans
- Wayfers
- Scrunchie
- The "wave" in the hair
- Dark brown lip
- Dark eyes
- Dark, thin eyebrows
