The 90s Comeback

Me too! I have been rewatching it on DVD and it makes me want to put on like six extra layers every day in addition to dying my hair "crimson glow." haha!

^ Oh i love My so called life ive been watching the whole first season on dvd lately, i love the that style but mostly it just makes me wish i had red hair.

My so called life was one of my fav shows back then. I watched the entire show on you tube lately and noticed all the 90s fashion. I pretty much dressed like Angela. Docs, plaid flannel shirts, oversized sweaters, acid wash/washed out jeans... Those were the good old days . Pretty grungy though.

^^Besides the pants on the first guy, the side ways pony tail, and the jean jackets, that doesn't look very 90s to me. If I didn't know that the name of the editorial was "back to the 90s", i never would have guessed it...

i think it looks very, very 90s... and the references are easy to pick out w/o reading the captions (depp, pretty woman, leon/the professional, 90210, tlc, madonna during her sex book phase)--grunge, the wet-look, bare midriffs, and spandex shorts are very 90s.

it's a bad ed though... and this trend is so over to me. :/ i did like the parker lewis can't lose reference though... just the fact that the show got referenced not the styling. lol.

some ... how can i say ...
different vision of the 90s than 90210, Parker Lewis, McHammer etc.
maybe more mid/late 90s ...

just wanted to say i'm a 90s fan. clean lines. simple. long, skinny but with a bit of boxyness. silver hardware. straps. and heck- velcro! love it. i'm getting back to this this spring. not quite there but sorting myself out.

That's what I though, doesn't remind me of the 90's I remember!

Is that Nick Cave? One of my favourite men?

Am i the only one that likes the ed, although I would not wear any of those clothes? It looks very 90s to me.

To me the 90s finnish in 95/96, from then on a think the spirit and the players, and even the looks, are more or less what we had in the early 00s. I can remember everything I wore in the early to mid 90s but the end of the decade is a bit a fashion nowhere land, and i almost can't recall any particular thing I wore..
And Berlin you are spot on with those looks.

i love those old CKone ads...the ones with kate moss

I feel like the late 90's mags started pushing and focusing on the cyberpunk thing more. (Plus with the Matrix...)

Interesting editorial here:

Who What Wear

though the models dont look convincingly 90s esp the 1st and 2nd they are very post millenium

yeah i didnt bite that either, the only one convinving was the one with the glasses and still her hair is very polished, not 90s enough, the one with the pink jacket looks in costume, not really a 90s silhouette but more of an early eighties.

ok the only one in 90s look is the girl in ruffle blouses and vest which was a huge trend in 1993 with the 70s revival which happened that year. I vividly remember 90s fashion because i was in high school at the time. 90s fashion esp post 1992 , fashion was quite opposite of what it is now , the rule at my school was " the baggier and wider the better " , up and until that time teens and college kids came up with their own fashions , grunge and hip hop were very influential in 90s youth fashion , wearing dr.seuss hats , striped tshirts , hip hop inspired looney toon tshirts or bodysuits paired with baggy wide leg jeans , or colored straight leg jeans and doc martens was de rigeur at my school circa 1992-1995

in those days street fashion influenced high fashion rather than the opposite like today.
