sweetpop, i have some pics i took of this church, inside and out, that i will post here in a couple of days. can't do it now cause i'm naked. quite beautiful. no, not me, the church. i will only do this for you cause i love you. and i will include some history with it.

I believe the full name of this church is Church of the Resurrection on Spilled Blood, so named because it was built on the site where Emperor/Tsar Alexander II was assassinated in the 1880's. Erected not long after that. Have lots of pics of it from differnet sides/angles. Hope you enjoy. All pics mine.

^Oh! Thank you for your pictures, they're beautiful. I'm always very overwhelmed by the opulence of the czarist russia. When I was younger I had a book about the kremlin treasures, with wonderful pictures of the crown and jewels.

thankyou for posting the editorial here MMA! I'm especially loving the crowns and hats; they have a very lovely royal Russian feel to them. Too bad I don't know Russian (I'm going to learn it one day I reckon! ) I think it would have been even more exciting if they used one of the beautiful churches in Russia as a backdrop!

I am interested in all things Russian, especially architecture and other forms of art. I think many of the structures posted here are beautiful. Especially the Metro stations, very intriguing.

So..my car battery died and I had to spend money on that instead of getting my netflix. ( I was so excited to reactivate my netflix and finally be able to see Russian Ark..grr.

I will be looking for it online this week when I get a break from school. If I find it, I will definitely let you know!
