imo seafoam is so much nicer than this color.

I LOVE the verte d'eau! Seafoam will always be my favorite (and pistachio), but I think this color is lovely too. I can't wait to get mine *fingers crossed*

^ I really dont think they'll have silver again, but the regular brass (?) hardware is still avalible along with the gold.

barneys ny has spring/summer 07 bags in - most are with the new hardware. some had amazing thick leather, but others had thinner veiny leather.
no vert d'eau, but they did have grass green, marine, truffle, white and black.

FYI: When I returned my Day hobo to Balenciaga NYC, the SA called me to ask how I wanted to handle it. I politely told her credit to my credit card is what I would like. She then told me that they "don't do that." I could have store credit or exchange, but no refund. I was shocked! No where on the Balenciaga web site do they discuss a return policy, probably because you can't order directly from the site. However, at no time in my discussions with the SA when ordering did she mention that IF I needed to return the bag, they would only offer exchange or store credit. I now have to go through my credit card to dispute the charge. Just wanted to let you all know that if you plan to ever buy a Balenciaga anything, do it through an authorized retailer, i.e., department store, and not a Balenciaga store.

Im just quietly cutting in, and this is a bit OT, but in general do you guys in the States easily get refunds for product returns (even where there is no problem with the product?). I have lived in Asia and Australia and it is not generally acceptable (and certainly not a 'right') to request a refund on a product that is fine, but which you've just changed your mind about.

Morriseel--Different stores have different return policies. Some have a 30-90 day return for a refund and others just exchanges or store credits only. Most US department stores have pretty good policies and some give you a refund up to a year for unworn/with tags on merchandise. It's pretty unbelievable that here in the States, the policies are in favor of the consumers. I'm sure there are people out there that abuse the system...but generally, i think most people are pretty good about it...at least, i hope they are.

My verte d'eau (water green) city came yesterday & I think the colour is beautiful... a bit between seafoam & pistachio.. not as yellow as pistachio & a bit different than seafoam. Feeling very guilty because I don't have my camera here so no photos right now... I am sorry about that. The leather is very nice, not crinkly at all... richer shade than has been reported by some eyewitnesses, so I am Very Pleased <3 <3 <3 I have always loved the seafoam, aqua & pistachio & now feel I've got one!

Angel.. it's from Balenciaga in NY, they just got the verte d'eau (did I write water green?? <gg>) in at the end of last week. I'd say it looks like #1 but it's a mix of #1 & #2, though not a much blue/aqua as #2, (& not as pale as #1).

Thank you for the nice comments.. I do think it's very pretty.

Mona, it's the brass, I've only seen the gold with the sea green on the brief and I like the duller metal with the pastel... but who knows the gold may look fabulous on it. I was tempted to wait for the brief (still am) but I'm not sure it would be as easy to carry as the city? It is a great looking bag though in the photographs.
