ciao your bag is pretty! u could never go wrong with brown either! but hey what happened to holding out! :innocent: hehe

In my defense...remember it was a one day GC event at Saks and there was champagne and snacks involved......:ninja:

That's my story and I am sticking to it....
:woot::woot:

Just wondering.....is grape and violet the same colour?

Yea..as a rookie, I was going by what the different shops were calling the colors..my dear friend:flower: has also let me know that the color name varies at time. Bal NY refered to it as grape...Saks violet. Same with my latest..Saks Mogano and Bal NY Cinnamon... ah, a rose by any other name smells as sweet:heart:

I am learning....

I purchased my first Balenciaga yesterday!!. It wasn't what was on my list BUT what was on my list wasn't there anymore lol. I saw this and it caught my eye and I  it so much.

My two favorite colours and combination. Here is a picture I thought I'd share, enjoy :flower:

HELP! I am going crazy trying to make up mind and I need your opinions. Thanks to gg's great tip, I got a jaune envelope clutch with SGH from Barney's (who shipped it to me without removing the sensor tag - ARGHHH!) I LOVE LOVE LOVE the color - and, even though I love the style as well - I think I want a style that I will carry more often (like almost every day). So....what style to get??? I have totally given myself a headache over this! This is what I currently own in Bal.: 05 caramel city, 05 metallic pewter city, 05 black purse, a rouge theatre pouchette and an 07 violet step. I don't want to go too large because I want it to go from day to evening. Also - I have not been a fan of the giant hardware and even though the SGH/jaune combo is great, I'm still not sure the giant hardware is for me. I am thinking maybe another step - I like that it's a bit more refined and lady-like than the city, or maybe I should get a first since I don't have one - also the giant city is pretty cute. Not even sure what a part-time is (how it compares size wise to the city, for example - and does it have a shoulder strap). Or maybe just stay with the envelope clutch and find opportunities to carry it. See how confused I am!! TIA for any assistance with this decision!!

P.S. Tiny - love your bag! Congrats and enjoy!!

jan, I am with you about GH! I'm a fan of the giant bags so I dont know if I can help you, but the part time is a little longer than the site w/ a longer shoulder strap.

jan, i agree with realdeal...the first is a great size for night, although i haven't seen a jaune first anywhere...
pine is also a gorgeous color for fall...

i love the size of the envelope clutch, but i'm also not a fan of the giant hardware...
i wish they made them in regular hardware...

tiny...great wallet! is it steel or black?

I def think the Balenciagas "age" really well. There is something about one that is worn and slightly "beaten up" the gives it that rock/city/chic vibe most bags can't acheive past a few seasons.

I most certainly agree. I think motorcycle bags and maybe givenchy nightingales are two are the few bags that only get better with age.

I'm heading out to LV in November and am thinking of getting the classique. Do any of you balenciaga experts know the cost roughly in USD. In Canada they go for around 1200ish...

Thanks, C!!!

I would love a violet work with GSH!!

Gosh, you know...Saks Palm Desert may have one

Try calling Suzi....I can also drop by tomorrow and check it out for you:flower:
