Hi Jenn... in my recent learnings, I was told to look under the head of the zipper as Balenciaga uses only 'lampo' brand zippers. Here is a photo from an EBay user....

fashion-clu, jelly and caio, thank you! i wear my WEs all the time. really. i used to use one until it wore out, now i have a bunch or two...i am supposed to rotate, but i get lazy... most go with everything. my magenta 05 and turq 05 WEs i do rotate bc they are so rare in general, and especially in WE size. i do not over stuff my bags so they have a fabulous slouch and do NOT look like suitcases. they really collaspe to conform to the way you carry them. bal bags are not meant to look pristine. they need to be thrown around and enjoyed. really! the only other bag that has me cheating on my bals for more than a day or two is the nightingale. when i started carying bals, they were under the radar. my 'gale was like that too until the recent nicole- wanna -bes now wanting the bag....

as for zippers guys, there a lot of fake lampos, and the real lampo script keeps changing on the real ones. and there are REAL bals without lampo zippers. none of my 02 and 03 bags have them..

jenn...no balenciaga bag comes with plastic wrapped around any part of it...
that's the first sign that it's not authentic...

it's harder to tell with the leather without feeling an authentic bag...
sometimes in pics they look the same...
the zipper does look a bit long though...

there are very few online boutiques that sell balenciagas...
some of them are styledrops.com, luisaviaroma (you have to email them to get pics), matchesfashion.com, diabro.net, asos.com...

i hope you can get your money back...

Guessgirl did you get your weekender? Do you mind posting a picture with it? Do you use it often?

I did get the weekender and I love it! I rotate my bags so I dont use any bag too often but I could see myself wearing it all the time.

guuuys, i need your help.

1.

the strings on my bal is like, 'separating' and i don't know what to do with it. i don't wanna glue them back together, but i don't really want them to stay that way either. i do have the extra strings (if i can find them), but have no idea how to tie them.. whattodo, whattodo..

i love my prada watch, but have only worn it 3-4 times. i've seen them go for 500-ish on ebay the past few weeks, and now i'm consider selling it, as there's this really beautiful olivegreen balenciaga messenger which has been relisted like 7 seven times and has a startingprice of 250 GBP / 500$.. i just feel i would wear the balenciaga more often, even though i love my prada watch too, it's not as 'me'. but is it stupid to have two balenciagas? (no offence, chaussie. but i don't wear bags that often, you know )

this is my waaatch.. and you all now how the balenciaga messenger looks. i think the one on ebay is a DAY though, my blueberry is a BESACE..

^^ nice watch! but i would get the bag if i have to make that choice.

i've tried glueing mine together and it came out horrible.it felt like 2 pieces of cardboard when it is all said and done. i've heard you could try calling bal ny and if they have the extra tassels in stock they will ship it out to you. i forget but i think the tassels are like 12 bucks w/o shipping. good luck!

one string that you fold in half, slip it through the zipper hole and and do a loop. try taking the old tassel out and you'll be able to see how that's done.

i don't get this. i've tried fifteen times and it ends up looking like this:

really beaut strang, you know i am a bal guru. so listen up. do NOT touch the strings. this is a whole school of thought on split strings. the true bal conniseurs in the know love them! the more the better. like motorcycle handle bar strings which was what the original bag was inspired by. the original bal moto bags only had single sided strings like yours have become. double sided came later and since 06, they all will split evemutally. whohoo, you have arrived. i have even broken mine in two with an occasional stiletto malfunction and i tie them back together.


and if you want to put new ones one and dont know how. i had some initial difficulties at first. my friend told me it was bc i wasnt an engineer? wtf? anyway, the loop directions posted above sound correct, but really bs, embrace your bag and enjoy it. bals are meant to be used,and thrown around and to go out and have fun! chaussie

really beaut strang, call me today and i will walk you thru the string insertion. what time? just do NOT glue or cut or throw out the original ones! they need to go back on the bag! the more strings, the better!!! naturally split strings are a sign you have arrived to the next bal level. congratulations!
and yes!, get that green bal maintenant! i think i saw it it and like it!!

and you can just sent the prada watch to me as a present for my birthday next month!

in that case , check out this color. it is origan, one of my all time favs. i had picked the BEST one of the bunch. most origans dont have the same color... i have dozens of WEs... dont ask....
