thanks clu and guessgirl for the confirmation about the colour,it is beautiful is'nt it clu??,...now tell me how many of you here that are not into GH?? i think the bags with GH are losing the "aged Look" on balenciagas,which i love,not to mention they make the bags quite heavier, although i have a travel clutch with GH,...ok,now i'm leaning towards the red and violet,but they're only available in GH....what do you think?

the first pics we saw, the yellow was more flourescent with some green in it...
but i saw another pic on the purse forum where it looked like a brighter version of jaune...

i really hope it looks like the former...

pp, you are forgettting the MOST important detail and the true essence of the classic bal moto...... the strings!!!!!!!!!!! the fabulous, sexy, rock n roll vibe of the bag is lost without the precious flirty strings.B) hold out for waht you really want. now having said all that, does travel clutch have strings like first, city, work, part time, WE, etc......?

pp, can you tell the "thimbles" dont turn me on? although , those who have the GH hardware and love it, that is why they make chocolate AND and vanillla , etc...............

Kim, I was thinking the same thing! I didnt like the greenish color but the second was sunny and very pretty.

the "thimbles"dont turn me on too!!...well,i must say when they first came out i thought the GH looked stunning,but in time they started to turn me off,yeah chauss,that's why there's choc and vanila,....i like the originals much better!...oh ya how come i forgot the strings??the most important part!

my travel clutch doesnt have strings,same with all GHs,i posted the pic sometime ago,
Now that I saw your Vert d' eau,i'm dead sure it's the same colour!

jj, the makeup clutch has baby strings, also shoulder has them which does have a strap but u can take it off to wear as a clutch.

jj...there was also the zip clutch with the wristlet...not sure if they're making that now with the regular hardware...

pp...i'm not into the GH at all...i would say it looks better in some combinations than others...
the plomb/steel looks cool with GGH...
i just personally wouldn't get it for myself...

I agree the "lariat" tasseled bags are truly classic and will forever look good. The giant hardware is thimble shaped and I never thought I would like it when I first saw pics, but in some colors and some styles it works well.

Last time I went to BalNY I tried on tons of bags and walked out with a Marine Giant Hobo because that bigger gold hardware adds another dimension to the bag color and there's enough leather that it isn't over blingy. Plus, the leather was super soft and the bag is still light-weight:

In the meantime, I am trying to be patient waiting for a Jaune first. I'm on the notification list at Aloha but so far - nothing Has anyone seen one anywhere? Wonder why it's taking so long for this particular bag to appear?

I'm sorry to report, but the news on the street via tPF is the following quote from Cult Status:

"We have some very bad news. The yellow first has been canceled by Balenciaga due to "technical problems". I am not sure if any yellow firsts made it to production but we have been told that they have canceled them from our order. We apologize for any disappointment this made cause you, however this matter was completely out of our control. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions."

*fingers crossed* for '08 S/S Yellow First bags! If anyone did get a F/W '07 Juane/Marigold First, please post it...you'd have a very rare bag indeed.

realdeal - thanks so much for the update on the jaune firsts. I had a feeling something like that was going on. I am really disappointed - I guess I'll just have to set my eye on spring - don't think I like the spring yellow though - but maybe it won't be so flourescent looking IRL.
