I have a quick question. As i just bought my first bal, i have little aknowledge about how to store it. I had it in the dustbag yesterday, but it really breaks my heart, not to be able to see it.. Soo, now i store it like this:

It's protected from sun, but not so much for dust.. Is it stupid of me not to store it in the dustbag?

I think it's going to be quite a fight for that one. Sounds like a lot of people are after a vert gazon GH day bag and there aren't any to be found. Hope a TFSer gets it so we can see the pretty pics...

of course, we still need to see pix of really beautiful stranger WITH bal bag, you can pose with pale pink pashima if you are still under the weather... anyway, sun is really bad and will fade colored bals. i have to admit i store 5 or 6 of my WEs just wrapped around plastic hangers in my closet so i SEE them and then switch bags. the ones i do not use in my regular daily rotation, ie 02 black flat brass, white first, black spring 03 first, etc, city size and work size (i know....) sleep in their dust bags.... i would recommend you spray it with a water resistant and stain resistant spray. i have found that really helps keep the dirt off . as for rains, my bags have gotten wet and they are ALL fine.B) AG is a good spray. just spray very far from bag, double the distance they recommend. go to a good shoe repair and buy a reputable spray they recommend. hope this helps you !B)

if you are using it on a regular basis, YES i told you, i do it with mine.. it wont have time to build up dust which you can just wipe off ith a soft cloth. invest in a protective spray like AG for leather. it does keep off dirt and stains. and if you get them, it maakes it easier to clean. i never treated my colored bal bbags when i first started and since i have , they last much longer. you only have to do every 6 months or so and VERY LIGHTLY, but it does work in long run. and if you decide not to uses your bag for a few MONTHS, then put it in the bal sleeping beauty dust bag so it can rest and relax.

news from yesterday's trunkshow...

The new colors for pre-collection (arriving late july/early august) are:
Sienna- a warm medium brown with reddish undertones.
Ocean- true medium royal blue.
Dark Olive- dark, deep olive green.
Paprika- exactly like the spice, an intense orangey red.
Tomato- a true tomato red, not too intense, very pretty.
Steel- dark charcoal grey, very true in tone.
Creme-Ivory, not white.

Collection colors (arriving late september/early october) are:
Pine- very dark green, like a pine tree.
Grape- the perfect dark purple, true with no variance
Cinnamon- very dark brown, warm undertones, like the spice.
Marigold- beautiful warm yellow, like a mustard yellow, not bright, but
warm.
Oatmeal- light beige/brown. a bit darker than last season's Sandstone.

I saw this greyish blue giant weekender today in paris...eeeh i hated it..not the color..but the large handles...the bag for some reason looked soo HUGE on me it was insane..and I have 4 weekenders that look normal...is it the large hardware or the gigantic handels...ew..I decided against..one black giant office is enough..fall colors sound yummy so ill just wait..even the cream sounds good..are they going to come with reg hardware?

It was def. the long handles that made it look so huge. It has the same affect on EVERYONE I know who tries it on. They really shot themselves in the foot with that one, because the long handles make the bag look really too big for everyday wear, which is what most people had used it for previously. What is most annoying about it though is that we all know how much the handles stretch with wear to begin with, so those handles are going to be REALLY long after use. ugh.

most bags are coming in the regular hardware, giant silver hardware and giant gold...

the day off (aka the step) will only come in regular hardware and is a cross between the city and the brief, $1195

the escapade is the same width as the weekender but taller, $2195...
i think it only comes in giant hardware

the besace is a messenger style similar to this with an adjustable strap...

i also found out there are going to be some limited edition holiday bags in suede, tweed and wool with giant pewter hardware...
the dates i had for delivery were a bit off...
the pre-collection bags start arriving in early june through august...
collection bags arrive late july...
the holiday collection is estimated to arrive in late october/early november...
