The Belts Thread

Does anyone know anything about the Hermes belt with kelly locks on it? I believe it was featured in Bazzar couple months back. I think it's very cool. Anyone know what's it's called and what kind of leather/price is avaliable? Thanks

I love that belt... I think it starts around 700 or 800. With Hermes, the sky is your limit as far as different leathers, colors go.

where to buy moroccan belt?

the best place, besides ebay?

I am in love with the new article in Harper's Bazzar about the *for each age.*

I wanna look like a boho gypsy. :p

location??

where do you live? try looking if your city has any souvenir shops....sometimes they will have a lot of jewelery from all over. i was in a egyptian souvenir shop and they had a lot of items from egypt incl. jewelery plus other stuff from syria, morocco , etc. a lot of those shops will include jewelery and some clothing.

this isnt moroccan but ....also...i was just in this tibetan shop and they had lovely jewelery ,silk scarfs , beaded shoes, coin belts.... just keep an eye out for shops like these.

I agree with Lo's suggestions. Also try any import/export shops. And see if you have any ethnic shops around your city, like African shops or that sort of thing, check them out.

where do you live? I found an amazing one that I've always wanted at Boulevard Chausseures on James St next to selfridges. It was pricey but i'd wanted one like that for ages.

I'm going to go out on a limb, and say Morocco.
Hehe. Awww...

As everyone else suggested check stores that have ethnic pieces.

There are some boutiques that sell candles and incense but they also sell shalws and beaded slippers and handbags. So, you might get lucky and find a real gem.

marni and dries van noten do these beautifully...and balenciaga has a nice one for spring...

right...so check yoox.com for those i mentioned...

If you live in england you can get them off the highstreet, the nicest one I found and bought ages ago was from New Look!
