The Cover Challenge (PLEASE READ THE THREAD RULES IN POST #1)

Okay, I'm super tired after work and I've had a few glasses of wine, but I'm just gonna set it straight. Those amazing collages were done by dariabirang and I don't understand why cottonmouth13 gets all this praise for copying those images and just slapping some VP retro font on top them.

I wasn’t going to respond but I feel like I had to.

Yes, these were made by Daria Birang. As much as I want to claim that they were made by me, you gotta give credit where credit’s due. Which I believe I did by indicating her name as my source.

I am more than willing to replace my entry with another cover or set of covers if you feel like what I did was wrong or improper.

Absolutely not. Your entry abides by the rules, spot-on with the theme, are believable and utterly fabulous - and I am a now a little reluctant to participate as a result. Bravo!

So then complain for the whole thread because that is what all the contestants do : "slapping some [VP] retro on top" of images made by someone else...

This thread proves that it is not just that but using the perfect image with the right art direction in order to have a catchy interesting cover fitting a given theme
.

Sorry for the slight delay in winner announcement!

As expected, everyone provided absolutely beautiful entries that easily upstage each and every March cover of Vogue so far, but as we all know the rules...
The winner of this week's cover challenge is....

@cottonmouth13 congratulations! You very well deserved it. I was impressed with those collages from the moment I saw them, and they were a great cover choice regardless of whose work they are. Well done x

Thank you all for participating and proving once again that you got better taste than international well-paid so-called professionals ;) Hope you had fun x

Thank you, @aracic! I share my win with all the members who participated as well by creating those amazing covers that put the actual ones to shame. :flower:

For this week's theme, let us honor and give respect to one of fashion's beloved figures who left us too soon: Stella Tennant

You can use any photographs of Stella ranging from editorials, advertising campaigns, personal photos to the actual magazine cover shot.

Looking forward on how you'll be honoring her legacy. Let's make Stella proud in heaven.
