Thank you to everyone who participated in this week's challenge. It takes an immense talent to make a great cover out of Teller's raw aesthetic, and I think these entries prove that with greater art direction, Vogue, Self-Service, WSJ, W, among others, can pull it off. I really appreciate each and everyone's covers.
This week's winner is Zorka with their Vogue France cover. It looks festive, which is just in time before magazines reveal their December 2022 covers. Also props for bringing back the vibrant and hip French Vogue that I used to know.
I didn't see this coming at all (considering that Juergen Teller is literally one of my least favourite fashion photographers of all times!), so allow me to express my IMMENSE gratitude and love to our dear @crmsnsnwflks , but also to everyone else who participated in this round, proving for the umpteenth time that when it comes to creativity and fashion enthusiasm, TFS simply has no alternative!
Sorry, my loves, for the "small" delay; I literally just finished with my work (and I started this morning at 5AM, after only 3 hours of sleep, which means that I've worked for a full 17 hours continuously!). A massive thank you to everyone for participating, it's been a great week, as usual.
(I love Gisele, and her both covers are technically perfectly executed, but I can't stand Demna and his Balenciaga, so the virtual trophy goes to Vogue España's Chipareli, which is a true *masterpiece* in every sense of that word!!! The same applies to my dear @Paul Lintag Vogue Italia's Maison Margiela, and it's a true bummer that we can have only one winner per round! )
Thank you soooooooo very much @Zorka, for selecting me as the winner of this amazing round - and for the kinds words. Thank you. A huge round of applause to everyone who participated and I have immense gratitude toward everyone who keeps this thread alive and kicking!
The new theme shall be... Z is for Zara!
There ain't no denying that Zara has upped their game IMMENSELY over recent years with both their advertising campaign imagery and the imagery on their website (regularly photographed by the biggest names within the industry). The aim this week is to produce magazine covers which highlights this wonderful work. You may find the 'Zara Series' campaign thread instrumental in selecting your chosen image, of course you can use Steven Meisel's campaigns for the brand, or anything you come across right now on the Zara website - the choice is yours entirely.
Best of luck to you all... truly cannot wait to see what you all come up with.
