One of the stars of the new Wes Anderson movie doesn't even have a speaking part. It's the 11 pieces of distinctive Louis Vuitton luggage made specifically for the movie. The luggage was designed by Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton and includes monogrammed steamer trunks, duffels, and suitcases covered in a jungle pattern created by Anderson's brother, Eric. The luggage will be auctioned off with proceeds going to benefit UNICEF and the Rawal Mallinathji Foundation, a medical treatment charity in India. The luggage is on display at the Louis Vuitton store in New York and you can enter a silent bid for the pieces there.

OMG. karma! i was going to start a thread on this but i've been soooooooo busy!!!! i love you!!!! i love these bags! and i love that movie!

while i was hoping MJ would cash in and do some of these bags for his M by MJ line or something, nothing has come of it yet... :( but i did manage to find leather promo luggage tags for the movie on ebay for $10 each. :D

and i believe, if im not mistaken, that wes andersons brother or cousin or something designed the animal print on these too

aaw yeah it's so cute :heart::heart:

and the designer of the bag is wes' brother, eric.

gosh, i wish they did a line of these bags...i'd scoop one up in a heartbeat!!!!

these bags are cute...can we agree on that?:p

i wonder who got them? i bet they can take the orient express, not the darjeeling limited train haha.

covered in a jungle pattern created by Anderson's brother, Eric.
^^who is apparently not very talented...
that is just plain ugly...
completely ripped from the sprouse idea...and now richard prince....

the bags are so so beautiful...
and i am all for grafitti or stencil art...
but this lacks any style...
it's just very self-conscious and 'look how cool i am'...:yuk:
imho...

i guess eric and his brother wes have that in common then...

:innocent:...

*the only thing that surprises me is that wes anderson isn't keeping it ALL...
little fashion victim that he is...maybe he decided they were ugly after all...
^_^
