These are very cute. I believe Eric Anderson also does all the illustrations so frequently seen in Wes' work. I know he drew the cover of some of the DVD and did all those cute paintings in The Royal Tenenbaums as well. There is a self consciousness about Wes and Eric's work that transfers over into the design of these but I think these are cute. Certainly much cuter than those godawful Richard Prince things were going to be bombarded with in the coming months. Ugh.
i bought this darjeeling limitied tag on ebay and it's so cute.
i imagined it would loook great attached on the cerises speedy, but it turns out to be too big
but i think it still look cute LOL
i also tried on putting it in my neverfull murakami and put the MOCA tag to my cerises speedy
btw, i love my cerises' patina
Did anyone read the article Hadley Freedman did on this in the Guardian? She talks about product placement and basically how these bags are not an example of it.
well they are never mentioned as Louis Vuitton in the movie and there is no logo. I think the only reference to the bags at all was during the flashback. I wouldn't even know if I didn't follow TFS and other fashion forums/websites. Yeah, I definitely agree that they are not product placement
i haven't seen the movie, but on the short film wes did before launching the DL, he made a short called hotel chevalier with jason s and natalie portman.
in the end of the shorts, it's written in big letters that the clothes are sponsored by LV.
Those bags are nice, I think.
I have loved all the previous movies this gang has done together, but haven't had a chance to see Darjeeling yet. Now I'm even more curious.
