The Eyebrow Thread, all you need to know and ask about your arches

hopefully you read this before youre get to it.

Dont be tweezer happy. If youre not sure with what to pluck dont do it. Its better to have more than less.

You may also want to use a scissor instead so itll be faster to mend. It may be hard though.

I just checked back to see the pictures again, I'm going to pull this thread up when I'm doing it so I know exactly what to do. Thanks so much again! :)

thanks emailme. I don't know if I can go past 2 months, I have a really important luncheon for my job coming up, I feel like my brows look so erm.. unkempt. They're thin so I can hide the sparse hairs pretty well, but I'm going to hold out for as long as possible !

well if your worried about what people think then I just have to say that you dont have to worry about it.

It wont make you look unprofessional or unruly. You will just look like your growing your brows out.

There are two tips I can give you.

You can pluck hair that are definitely not part of your natural brow.

What I mean by this is that your brow is not going to be arching down to a droop then you can pluck hair near your eye.

If you think your brow is never going to arch THAT high then you should pluck that hair on the upper area of your brow.

Just be careful and forgiving. More is better than less when it comes to brows.

Remember that people will not think less of you as a person with unruly brows. They may even think you are brave for being persistent in growing brows even when you are in a grand luncheon.:)

^Aw thanks, that helps :)
I actually filled in my brows perfectly this morning, I was thrilled
But yea, you're right, I can take a few hairs off that are way too low, I do that about once a week or so, maybe 4 hairs total. I have a lot of self control, I can do it !

Yes you can!

Its good you filled your brow. Helps with the growing out phase.

errr my brows are ok now. i jsut did them myself.. one if thinner than the other but its not that noticeable.. anyways what are eybrows pencils used for anwyays?

The purpose of eyebrow pencils are to to fill in spaces in your eyebrow if you had a mishap or simply aging and gradually losing hair.

It can also create a shape for your eyebrow. But if your relying on the pencils to creat a shape you probably dont have the right brow.

oh what about using it to define your eyebrow? I feel I look better with darker eyebrows

it's perfectly fine to use a pencil for more depth & definition to create a stronger brow

:flower:

yeah it can be used to make your brows look fuller.

i just dont like it when they dont have an arch and they make their own...

^ ugh, that's just badddd...then if it's hot out, it melts off.

Anything besides brushing to encourage the eyebrows to grow? Rosemary oil promotes hair growth..hope it helps a bit, I'm still being patient

castor oil. ive explained it a bajillion times here. it shouldnt be too hard to find.

i have a question too now.

how do you lighten eyebrows with home made treatment?
hydroxide products?
lemon/ vinegar?

ah, i remember castor oil, never really did too much for me, that's an age old beauty tool. but thank you for reminding me of it.

Lemon juice/water lightens your hair quite a bit, especially if you apply it directly and then go sit out in the sun. It took me months to grow it out of my hair, but everyone thought I got it done at the salon.

I am fine with the shape of mine but the thing is they seem a little bare in places. I fill them in with eyebrow pencil and I haven't had them waxed for a while but its the actual brow. The hairy bit. How do I get more hairs? Or am I stuck with the pencil?

your going to have to be patient. its either its really taking a long time for the roots to heal or you have stunned the growth and wonr grow anymore. If thats the case, then yes you will be stuck with the pencil.

...unfortunately.

For the lemon lightening eyebrows. I have black brows and i want it to go grayish or brownish. So how long should i keep lemon on it?

Yeah but thing is i have never plucked actually in my eyebrow. Just under.
