Try applying a thin moisturizer before putting it on, my skin is like that right now, and there really isnt going to be a really moisturizing foundation. I just moisturize my face good before applying and everything is good. (exfoliating helps get the dry skin off as well)

I know it is drugstore, but Revlon Colorstay for Normal/Dry skin is good. I used to use it, but decided the oily/combo version suited my skin better.

Vincent Longo has his own brand of foundations, and one of them is called "golden porcelain" and it´s supposed to be very pale but yellowish. The problem is I can only buy it by mail-order.. But if it turns out to be good I´ll post here staight away

^match your foundation to your neck color and not your face.

I agree with modelbehavior, I think you should always match the colour of your foundation to your neck, even if your face is narurally darker than your neck.

^^Yes, because you want it to look natural. Having a darker face doesn't look natural. Matching it to your neck will make everything one color and even it out.

That is true if the colour is really different, which normally isn´t, or if you are thinking of applying it to your neck too.

The match should be in your jaw, near the neck.

If you need something cheap and good, Maybelline Matte Perfection Mousse is really nice.
I have sensitive, dry skin, and it's absolutely wonderful. It's really light, and yet provides great coverage.

Plus! It's afforable for the average Joe (or Jane. )

I found a store that sells this make- up and I went in to try it out but it was the same as most I´ve tried, way too pink which was too bad, I really liked the foundation itself apart from the colour being all wrong.

^aww, I'm sorry! I know what it is like having a hard time finding a good colored foundation. I have about given up and now use a yellow-y powder over my foundation to correct it, as I cannot find a light enough shade that is not too pink for me.

It sucks doesn´t it? and it´s odd since so many people you see outside do look weirdly pinkinsh in their foundation, it must be a common problem. Even the girl who tried to convince me to buy the VL stuff told it was perfect for her (it was not) since she had the same kind of complexion as me (which she did). She looked so pink it was like she had come straight fom a rather rough facial.
Right now I mix a completely white and completely yellow foundation (both from Face Stockholm) in with my YSL on to make it the right shade.

I put on my powder foundation with a brush today instead of the sponge that comes with it, and OMG, it works soooo much better. Anyone here who wears powder foundation needs to use a brush, it really does work better

I'm very yellow (so when i tan i get this beautiful golden colour, YAY for yellow people!!LOL) and i use Diorskin Pure Light (200) and it's PERFECT. They have 202 (which is pink) and 200 which is perfect. NOT ORANGEY AT ALL. Anyone "yellow" should try it!LOL
