The Face Thread, the Q's and A's about Foundations, Primers, Powders...

I'm looking for a light, liquid foundation who covers tiny imperfections, does anyone can help me? :) (i'm 19 and have normal skin)
I used Double Perfection Fluide by Chanel but not so good and I'm now using an Avène foundation but it doesn't last all day...

Thanks :flower:

can anyone recommend a "very light reflective foundation" like alejandro mentioned?? does mac have any that dont make you look super pale in pictures? thanks!

Well, every light reflective foundation WILL make you look super pale in pictures, if a flash was used. Light reflective means it reflects ambient daylight, but also artificial and strobe lights a lot. Most MAC foundations have this side effect.

You know what's strange? back when i was all over my double perfection from chanel, i never looked white in pictures. i just went to studio fix..and i SWEAR i look like casper the mother effin ghost.

^ does chanel teint innocence good?
or any good foundation for a pale person?

Can anyone please write ingredients of Max factor Miracle Touch?

i just got teint innocence by chanel and i love it!!
probabably the best foundation i've used in a while...
it's water based, so it won't clog pores, and it has a light, luminous effect...

you only need a little bit though and it's best applied with a brush...

^I've seen quite a few recommendations on that one as of late, and I think I might try it since I need a new foundation because I have a feeling that Youngbloods mineral foundation makes my skin break out..
Thanks ^_^

I'm using Vincent Longo Healthy Fluid with SPF8 It looks glowly and is a light to medium coverage- Use a foundation brush though. You can find it at Sephora. :flower:

I'm in love with Rimmel Recover Brightening foundation. It's seriously the best foundation i've ever used in my whole life! It has vitamin C & E so it protects and moisturizes and even though it's super light, it completly covers. I can't believe it's actually a drugstore brand (it's only $9!) and if it ever went up to $50+ i'd still buy it! Omg,sorry this totally sounds like an infomercial! LOL!
Anyways, for the past six months i've been using Jane Iredale Minerals foundation (it was $70) and found that it gave me dry patches around the nose and mouth and made my skin very oily and red. I'm really glad I found the Rimmel one. ^_^

I was wondering whether or not it is OK to mix foundations from different brands?

I have porcelain skin [lighter than MAC NC15] and its impossible to find a foundation that is both reasonably priced and light enough.

I recently bought some new foundation which looked great in the store but after a couple of days of wearing it Ive realised its too dark and makes my skin look dirty. It cost me too much to just throw away.

I found some white foundation by Manic Panic and thought I could mix a tiny drop in my regular foundation to make it a touch lighter.

do you think that would be OK?
