So informative, this thread! I've delurked to ask about trimming.

When I trim my pubic hair w. a pair of scissors and put on underwear, the fabric pushes the freshly cut ends into my skin. It itches like hell! Do other people have this problem? Am I supposed to trim down to the root? Going commando is not an option!

hey orange! well, i have mine waxed (by a pro..) i just cant do it myself... she trimmed some of the hair.. but not down to the roots. she leaves some though. about the itch factor, even if i have mine waxed it still itches like hell. so i guess that's pretty normal.

OMG, waxing is something i try to avoid alltogether- it HURTS SO MUCH just thinking about it and remembering!!! I just believe in being clean, so i trim and like use a depilitory(sp?) "around the edges". I really dont have to bother- its not terribly out of control; actually i think im kinda bald down there...

I do mostly Nair (when i'm on a budget and during the winter). Waxing during the summer months. Going to the spa in a couple of weeks...think I might just add a Brazilian to my regime.

Pubes: Bare or Hair?

This is a question not only for guys, but for girls too (I am interested in everyone's opinion about this!). What style of pubic hair to do you prefer? Hairy or bare? (I know there is another thread similar to this one, but different enough that I thought I could make a more specific one!) Right now my pubic hair is natural, but I hate it! It just seems so... I dunno, unsanitary (although I keep myself very clean!). I would love to have to have a completely bare, hairless "area" but I'm afraid and embarassed to have it waxed or wax it myself! I'm still a virgin (well, I'm still really young! ) and I don't want people to think I'm like obssessed with sex or anything if they found out I wax my pubic hair and also, I'm afraid that if I did get with a guy, it would freak him out! (I'm also pretty young-looking, too, although I'm 17!). Anyway, sorry for rambling, but I'm just wondering what you guys think!

I don't think the other thread was different at all, it got into this discussion if you read all the way through. Sure originally it was about methods of hair removal but then people were discussing whether it was sanitary etc etc etc.

I really think it looks pre pubescent to have it all shaved off. Its just nice to keep it shorter so you haven't got a wise man's beard or anything (ha ha ha). This for me isn't really a sexual reason, I actually found it quite uncomfortable, especially in summer time. I think people do feel cleaner for totally waxing....

Anyway, you're only 17. I just say, trim, take showers, don't get rid of all of it! Otherwise you'll feel 50 times younger than you are and that is ick believe me...

And if you're worried about sexual stuff then just do it in the dark >_> Guys don't notice anything I swear haha

Seriously, I do prefer a trimed girl. I really dont like natural and I would say it turns me off. My ex-ex was completely trimed and It was awesome. My ex was not and I didnt like that. If you dont wanna shave ALL, you can remove all expect a bit, so I looks clean and all. ( i dont know how to explain it, plus my english is bad sorry heh)

But that is my opinion, and other guys will tell you they hate shaved girls because they think the girl ''looks'' young... it all depends.

Go for what YOU like.. that is the most important .B)

There was such an awful waxing story in More mag! this woman was having her first hollywood wax and the woman ripped off a 2 inch piece of her skin above the labia!!! She saw it and was sick but the woman still made her pay for it! Then she went to the Doctor and he told her it was the kind of tearing people experience during childbirth. Ouch!

Hi Adore!...I've always hated a full bush!...but years ago, the thought of totally shaving it off made me feel 10 yrs old again (guess that was b/c I was younger and wanted to feel older). So at that time I just shaved around the edges and trimmed it a bit. But now that I'm a bit older (25) I have fully shaved it off and feel sexier that way....I find that most guys think it is sexy too.

I think it all depends on how YOU feel and how YOU work it
