Okay, I NEED TO KNOW:

Do plain white Hermes scarves really exist?

If you've read the book The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger, Miranda "gets through them like kleenex" - white Hermes scarves are like her signature thing, and if you've seen the film Basic Instinct, Sharon Stone ties her victims to the headboard with a plain white Hermes scarf. It also said something in this film I can't really remember (long time since i've seen it) about the white Hermes scarf being a limited edition like "Hermes only make five hundred(???) a year." or something?

So are they real ???
Can anyone help ???

Since they do have colored solids, in theory it is possible. I have never seen one. Perhaps it is a special order.

my gris tourterelle is still not ready..
checked in today.. and im finding this strange.usually i always get them fast.. my sis in law is getting impatient
now im thinking of getting one once this one is ready just in case it takes a little linger again !!

^Hi Leyla. Sorry to hear the Gris tourterelle is taking it's time! It's such a gorgeous sophisticated shade. Perhaps the delay is caused by the fact that the colour isn't manufactured in such large quantities as other H standards?? When you make your reservation/place the order??

Typically I've received my H bags in record time however this time I chose to place my order at a store other than my local H. And I was warned that the waiting time would be long....perhaps not arriving for a whole year! There are plus points to the long wait though. It gives you more time to save and to anticipate! I've even decided to place an order at the next podium. I'd love a Kelly 32cm in togo not sure on the colour as yet though - possibly biscuit or vert olive? That way hopefully I'll get one bag this year.

the thing is that the bag is for my sis in law. i had already bought one when i reserved this one and though i would wait for myself until im all settled with my new business. now that it is going extremely well i think i can allow myself to get another one

Gemini - Do you know if these bags are going to be produced for general sale? Or are they just runway samples. I know they've had a "shoulder Kelly" on a JPG Hermes runway not so long ago but they never made it into production. Is "Gypsy" the official H name for this style? I would be keen to see it in person too.

I'd love a shoulder-spin on a classic H bag other than the existing JPG shoulder birkin (which appears to be mainly hand-carried by owners as its uncomfortable and ungainly when worn on the shoulder!)

At this point Grill I'm not sure if they will in fact produce them for general..Style.com did talk about them and show all the details for them so they made a huge impact on the runway as JPG had done in the past with the folded Kelly--Kelly Flat. I too would love to see it in person as a photo is worth a 1,000 words holding and seeing it in person says a million!! I'm gonna explore w/ H if they are going to be made for purchase.

Thanks for your invaluable research Gemini! So it will be available after all? How interesting. I wonder what the pricing will be like - I suppose we'll just have to wait!

Personally, if I was to given the opportunity to order the gipsy bag - I would rather do so having seen it in store in person rather than just in picture from the catwalk photographs which I think might be a feeling shared by many on this forum!

That said, I think I will still go ahead with my July Podium order of a togo 32cm Kelly as this size and shape iare currently singing loudly to me. I will definitely go with this shape, size and leather combo but am currently undecided regarding the colour. I am looking for something seasonally versatile and probably under the radar - no orange or red for me this time around! Maybe a Rouge H, Graphite, biscuit or a vert olive....???

Sounds like you have some fun decisions to make!! I personally love Graphite and Vert Olive!!!!!!
