The Hills

^^ratings darling, ratings. That's all that matters. And honestly, half the reason anyone watches the Hills is because of the train wreck that is Speidi.

did anyone else notice how abysmal the dialogue was during the writer's strike? :innocent: reality my ***.

^ "Reality" shows have what are called SEGMENT PRODUCERS...not writers..so yeah it can be not all truthful but it's not a flat out Grey's Anatomy with writers...

Spencer and Heidi are ridiculous. I would be shameful if I was related to them. Plus, her style is generally bad.

I have a big problem, here I am looking forward to the new episodes next month and mtv.ca has gone and stopped people from overseas watching their videos, like .com. Does anyone has any idea where I will be able to watch them?

I have mixed feeling about the Hills, I enjoy watching everyone except Spencer and Heidi..If the new season is anything like last season..I will stop watching.

I really hope Heidi and Spencer get their own show, then they would have no choice but to be off the hills.

RIP Eric, but I hope Heidi learns to be a more honest, less famehungry person, through this tragedy

Heidi Montag's 24-year-old stepbrother, Eric O'Hara, a veteran of several combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, has lost his life in a bizarre accident at the Colorado hotel where he worked, the Rocky Mountain News reports.

O'Hara died Thursday at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel in Steamboat Springs, after he slipped off a sloped roof while attempting to remove snow.

"Losing my brother, at an early age, is such a tragedy," The Hills star, 21, said in a statementment released through her rep.

"I just loved him more than anything," Montag's statement continued. "He was just so patriotic. He really wanted to go to Iraq and help and do all that he could for his country. He felt like it was his duty. I'll really miss him."

"Having made it through 15 months in Iraq, and then to have this happen," said his uncle, Dave Patston, "it's really tough," reports the News.

"Everyone loved him," O'Hara's grandmother, Dolores Spurgeon, also told the paper (via TMZ). "I never met a person who did not love him."

She added that O'Hara's colonel in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division in Tikrit, Iraq, called to say, "Eric was the most remarkable young man he'd ever worked with, a born leader."

He felt a call to duty, his grandmother also said, because "He'd been in and out of [New York's] Twin Towers when he was little. His father was a stockbroker and had offices there."

Their destruction, she said, "just gnawed at him. He decided, 'I need to go to defend my country.' "

Heidi's father, Bill Montag, is married to O'Hara's mother Terri, both of whom survive Eric, as do his father, two sisters, another stepsister (Holly Montag), his grandmother and other relatives.

Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that none other than Mariah Carey will be performing at MTV's premiere party for The Hills later this month! An insider tells us that "The party will be held in NYC instead of LA, because Mariah is being a huge diva. She is scheduled to preform at the party, and she refuses to fly out to LA. SO, instead MTV is having to fly out EVERYONE from LA to NYC."An MTV source, however, counters that the premiere party was always scheduled to be in NYC, that Mimi is not being a diva and that at this point she's not officially "confirmed."How will Lauren Conrad feel about being upstaged at her own premiere?

i keep getting more excited when i see the red screen and hear a line from the upcoming episodes on mtv :buzz: then The Hills comes up in black letters with the date and time.. holy cow !

When it comes back is it going to be like 3 Paris episodes or like a whole season (about 10 episodes)?

I was watching it on Virgin today, the one where lauren doesn't go to paris so she can be with jason... what was she thinking??!!

The UK needs new episodes the play the same one evvvvvvvery day and its boring, were always the last to get anything bloody mtv

I need a guilty pleasure to watch while my boyfriend is at rehearsals next week...

I'm thinking of Netflixing The Hills...

Is it a total guilty pleasure? Is it lame in parts? I'm 25... wanting something that actually pretty interesting (fashion-wise)...

Any opinions? It seems that a lot of reputable people here at the Spot watch this show.

i'll be honest, this show is full of 'drama', but you can tell that most of it is pretty fake and set up... but damn is it ever addicting.. i dont even remember why I like this show :ninja:
