IDK... I have yet to see Lo hanging out at a public pool infested with paps on a daily basis wearing barely there bikinis... But, yes I do think all of them are trying to be relevant and be able to work in their chosen field once the hills is over. IMO that is not being fake but being smart. Obviously, the hills is not going to last forever, after this season ... I can only see one more forced season... but it is the way they go about it. I dont think Lo has used Lauren to gain her fame however little it might be but the same cannot be said of Audrina.

I think if Lo could use her fame she would, but if you read the blogs out there that cover the show and even the newspapers that do reviews...they all dislike her. Like I said, Audrina may be using people but it never comes across that way on camera.

Now when the show ends, who will really still be there for Lauren? Probably just Lo, so in that sense she is the real friend.

It is really hard to tell with these two because of the fakeness of their scenes. However, I dont understand why Spencer would want to purposely portray himself as someone who is mean to Heidi's sister. Plus, I remember Perez saying that Spencer is pulling all the string in the relationship when he was commenting for the top ten scenes. Brody and Frankie have both said that Heidi is like Spencer's robot... so there is a good chance that Spencer is really that CONTROLLING and it would def be an abusive relationship. I dont care for Heidi but I would love to see her dump Spencer.

I agree, he is very controlling, manipulative, and some what stalker-ish.
I would love to see Heidi dump Spencer flat on his (excuse my language, for lack of a better word) a**!

I don't think they'll be breaking up any time soon..they both love the spotlight too much!
Maybe their entire relationship is staged. If it's all real, Heidi has got to be the daftest woman on the planet for staying with Spencer. She's alienated all her friends, her family (by the looks of it), gotten into trouble at work, all for that louse. And its not like he has any redeeming qualities that might counter his nastiness. If they broke up, she might finally realise that she (stupidly) gave up everything for him.

The rekindled "bromance" between Hills stars Brody Jenner and Spencer Pratt took a turn for the worse following the show’s season premiere party at Paradise Cove in Malibu Monday night.
A source tells E! News that Pratt approached new castmember and Lauren Conrad love interest Doug Reinhart and began bad-mouthing his former best friend.
Just what did Pratt say? Read on...
"Spencer said he had no respect for Brody because he was always up Lauren's ***," the source says.
After this classy exchange, Pratt and the rest of the cast headed for a celebratory dinner at Nobu. But things got worse when Jenner found out what Pratt had said.
"They almost brawled right there in Nobu," says the source. "Spencer kept saying, "I'm gonna choke him out.' "
Luckily the squabble got under control and the guys managed to enjoy their dinners at separate tables. When it came time for the check, some MTV producers who were sitting with Pratt picked it up for everyone.
"[Brody] went over to Spencer’s table and thanked everyone for the dinner, then left," says the source.
What some people will put up with for a free meal.
