OMG. Judgemental much? Really. Lauren goes to FIDM and has her own fashion line which she participated in greatly. That is why she has an internship. We see about 5 seconds of Lauren in the office just catching up w/ Whitney. Why would they show her working for 8 hours? That's boring, but I'm sure she works.

Don't begrudge somebody their fortune that was given to them. If you parents gave you all that, you would take it too.

ITA. Also, Lauren is not a trust fund kid. She mentioned in an interview over a year ago that she hadn't accepted money from her parents in more than two years. Apparently she saved up money earned from Laguna Beach and making appearances. Of Course now she's paid for the Hills and her mark contract plus her fashion line. According to Star magazine she is helping Mark design accessories and Teen Vogue said she was designing bags with Linea Pelle. On top of that she is a student at FIDM still so she is not an idle freeloaded by any means.

^ Agree. Honestly, there are many spoiled brats that we see on tv, and Lauren is not one of these girls. It is obvious just by the fact that she carries the same darn bag everyday and has had the same car for ages. She honestly acts like any other normal girl who I have met- not some rich famous spoiled diva. I loooove her for that actually.

PS- Lo is completely and 100% utterly delightful.

Is that another term for fake?

The first episode was great!! Does anyone think that Heidi actaully made up those rumors about a sex tape with Lauren and Jason?

This is really good to know, for a while I was thinking that it was unfair that those girls got thier internships(and jobs at teenvouge) while gracing the cover as well.


It is a bit unatural, but hey that's television. I'm sure LC works her butt off though. At the end of the day, Laguna Beach and the Hills is an advantage but i can'y say i wouldn't do it if i had the chance. I'll stop hating on lauren now.


-A bit off topic but can you guys belive that MTV traded Laguna Beach for another nearby town called Newport harbor? it's still the exact same show but different people. I was looking foward to a season 4 of Laguna.

I agree about the ring... and Brody.

That ring was hideous and not even a real diamond. He didn't even buy it in a jewellry store. He bought it at a store that looks like a hotel gift shop! When he told the saleslady that he was proposing to his girlfriend she had this sound in her voice like "hunny this aint an engagement ring".

Worse part is that Brody had to pay for that ring. I bet it only cost $50 so I guess Brody didn;'t mind

I know I felt so bad for her re the ring. But I adore Lauren and Lo. The whole JustinBobby thing was so funny. I'm still not a fan of Audrina- she seems kind of slow on the uptake. More Whitney please!

Iam glad LC is over Heidi, because she is such a Spencerbot.Heidi's new nose looks worst then her old nose.Good to see Whitney and Audrina, but Audrina new boyfriend is. Spencer still seems obess with Lauren, also I think the proposal was so fake and scripted for Cameras...Spencer's way of staying around in case there's a 4th season. Jen Bunney found her way back on tv, being "friends" with Heidi.

For those of you that watched the season 3 premeire of "The Hills" the other night you got a little chuckle when you saw Spencer Pratt purchase Heidi's engagement ring from ICE. ICE is basically a half a step-up from Claire's. I didn't even know they carried real diamonds!? He purchased what looked to be a pink diamond ring, but TMZ claims it's FAKE!

The pink diamond is actually an amethyst surrounded by diamonds and cost $2,890. Spence also had to use Brody Jenner's credit card to pay for it. What, they don't have lay-a-way at ICE?

Not only that....the entire engagement might be as fake as her ring and her rack! Radar reports that the pair messed up during an interview with Entertainment Weekly which is on stands now. They told the magazine the weren't engaged, "We can't wait to see how they edit that.... We would get engaged, we just wouldn't do it on Lauren's show."

Later on the couple said they were engaged and were in talks for their own MTV reality show. Why would they lie?!!!? WHYYYYYY?

I don't know what to believe anymore?! Is the ring real? Are they engaged? Does Spencer have fake teeth? Are these even humans or are they plastic people operated by two AA batteries? Why do I care? Yeah, that the best question of all.

That ring on Perez looks way better than what Spencer bought. Did you notice when Spencer asked for the 'high end' stuff the saleslady talked about real gold but said nothing about real diamonds?
Also Spencer asking Brody about the $100,000 for the ring.. like Spencer would ever spend that kinda money on anyone but himself.
OK I admit it I'm officially obsessed with this show.

Spencer wouldn't dare spend so much on a fake proposal ring, that's why he ripped up the receipt..Also if a guy was going to buy a nice engagement ring, they won't of grabbed the first thing they saw in a boutique.

Has nobody mentioned yet how bad Heidi's implants look? It really stood out when she was wearing that white zip up (?) sweater. It's too bad, she looked much better when she was more steamlined. I loved Whitney just looking at that British Jason and going "...no..." when lauren asked her if he was cute.
And of course, Lo with Justin Bobby was great. He handled it horribly, but who doesn't love Lo?
I so badly want to like Audrina and I have nothing against her, but there's just something about her that keeps me from really really liking her. Is it just me?

I don't dislike Audrina, but I think the reason why people don't seem to be warming up to her much is because she doesn't really have much personality or dimension. It could be that she is nervous with the cameras around but that is doubtful...I mean, she does want to be an actress! I think if I had to describe her, words like dull, lack-luster, flaky, and uninteresting might spring to mind.

^Exactly. She really does seem very blah...It could be that she's shy, but like you said, I think she just lacks personality. I also used to think she was pretty, and I suppose she is to a certain degree, but the more I notice how white her teeth are, and how she has no upper lip, the less cute I find her. I do think she seems nice enough though....


I'm addicted to this show and all the off camera drama!-I never watched Laguna Beach though--is it something I should see as well? I might have to get the first season of The Hills too, as I really only started watching last season

Laguna Beach is about rich high school kids so there's more petty drama, but I would recommend it.

How funny was Heidi, when Jen turns up to Heidi's house warming, and Heidi's going 'oh Jen you're so important to me, i really am so glad you're here and you're part of my fresh start' all the while looking around her! seriously if you're going to be fake at least try a bit harder and look a person in the eye when you're talking to them! a five year old can do it.
I can't stand Heidi, I'm so glad Lauren is treating her that way, she deserves it.
