The Hills

So I guess Jen Bunney finally got a nose job? After people do that does their voice become permanently more nasal like that? It sounds like she can't breathe. I thought Heidi looked quite cute in this episode, something seemed different, she looked more like first season heidi.

Guys is LC's situation realistic. I mean I don't know much about internships since I'm sorta a newbie but she's been working at the same internship for 3 yrs. I thought you worked at one internship and then tried to get one at another. I mean that's what Whitney did. Didn't she work at V and WWD before Teen Vogue?

She's only been at Teen Vogue for 2 years. Lauren has said she loves working with Teen Vogue and wants to stay as long as they'll have her. She's still in school so it's valid. On the Season 2 DVD she mentioned wanting her next internship to be at a clothing or garment company to gain knowlege.

I honestly don't think that Lauren's internship is very real anymore. I am sure that Whitney's job is, but I think much of Lauren's is just for the cameras. Speaking of which, they show very very very little of her work life this season. :(

^Oh guys, who cares? Just take it for what it is. Fake or not, it's entertaining and fun.

cosmogrl5 i don't see a Spencer comment... You give him a break? Or you are afraid what he will do to you when he'll become governor?!?

I think both girls do work for Teen Vogue in some capacity. They have both spoken about their increased work responsibility in interviews this year. The trip they made to New York this year was for a Teen Vogue assignment. When Jimmey Kimmel asked Lauren why she continues to intern despite having a fashion line she said because working there allows her to see upcoming trends months in advance which is completely plausible. I don't think these girls are liars who would say they are working somewhere when they aren't. I also don't think Amy Astley would go on record praising Lauren and her work ethic if it were a lie nor would Lisa Love bother herself with fake employees.

I think that people have taken the idea that the show is scripted to extreme levels. MTV films actual events of their lives then edits the events into a storyline. Out of necessity they may tell the cast where to meet because they have to get clearance before filming. They tell them what topic to discuss to faciliate the storyline but they aren't told what to say or how to act. According to past interviews cast members may let the MTV crew know when an event, phone call, meeting or conversation is going to take place so they can film it.

MTV doesn't tell Lauren's friend "hey go sleep with Lauren' ex so you can upset her and destroy your friendship." They don't tell Heidi "hey go find a douchebag to date and allow him to come between you and your best friend." Those things actually happened and the events were edited into the story we see. These people would have to be really good actors to fake the hurt and anger we see at the things that occur on the show.

Unfortunately the presence of Spencer has tainted the show. He is a famewhore and now with Heidi on board is manipulating the show for his own purpose with fake engagements, and other things designed to get himself and Heidi media exposure. I don't recall there being so much skepticism about the show before Spencer came on board and he and Heidi began staging photo-ops and other ridiculous things to get press.

I would like to see more of Teen Vogue on the show but perhaps MTV thinks the audience would be bored watchin the girls steam clothes or other menial tasks.

Didn't I tell you? I'm on Team Spencer now!

Just kidding...this wouldn't be true unless I got a lobotomy over the weekend, which I did not. ^_^

I think Whitney's job is very real...that's why we see so little of her...but she is definitely a highlight of the show...Lo is as well...

Did anyone see Lauren, Whitney, and Audrina on the VMAs pre-show? They all looked pretty. Lauren designed her own dress, of course. Lauren also said there will be a make-up with someone this season. I have a feeling she makes nice with Jen Bunney again. :(

Also, Teen Vogue is smart to have young, hip, people on their team. It helps them stay current to what their readers want. Why do you think regular Vogue employees so many socialites to write articles...

I have no idea if the internship is real, but since it's not such a big part of the show this year, I just see it as a time that Lauren and Whitney catch up.

I'm insanely and possibly too excited for The Hills tonight.:buzz:

Thanks!!:blush::heart: Me too, it's my ringtone!!:woot:

haha love it! :p

Oh for all you Frankie (SexiCan) Delgado fans...I was just watching a repeat of PUNK'D and he was on it (at least I'm pretty sure it was him) it's the episode where they PUNK Kristin Cavalleri about hitting her car door on some guy's car. LOL at Frankie. He's great!! :p

Heidi's CosmoGirl Interview
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s reign of terror continues! Montag, 20, is on the cover of the October issue of COSMOGirl! which features a Q&A with the two Hills stars titled “What You Don’t Know About Me & Spencer.” As we've come to expect, the couple spends most of the interview bashing Lauren Conrad and talking about how much they love each other.

According to Montag, her fiancé is “smart, funny, sweet, genuine and a great businessman! He’s my dream guy!” Has Heidi been brainwashed? Or is poor, misunderstood Spencer, 24, simply the victim of creative editing, that makes him out to be the bad guy?

Heidi on Spencer:
“I could start crying right now when I think about being without Spencer.”

Spencer on Lauren Conrad:
"Lauren is the show's Goody Two-shoes. Heidi is portrayed as the wild, goofy friend who is going through all these experiences that they can't have Lauren go through because she is the sweet, innocent character. But sometimes she's the craziest one of us all."

Heidi on being the bad girl:
“It's like I was the good girl on the show until I fell in love with Spencer, and then I became the bad girl. But they don't show the footage of how Lauren was sort of obsessed with Spencer, or how she called my mom in Colorado and told her I was involved in an abusive relationship, or how she would scream at me in the middle of the club if I wanted to leave at 2 a.m. to go see Spencer.”

Heidi on Lauren being needy:
“I spent a lot of time with her during her breakup with Jason. I was there for her every day and night when she cried, and I have been there for her through some horrible things you never saw on-camera. No matter how much time I spent with her, it was never enough. Lauren always wants to have a friend around.”

Heidi on how Lauren changed when she started dating Spencer:
“The minute I started not hanging out with her as much because I wanted to spend more time with Spencer, she got really upset. It hurt me that she could turn off our friendship so quickly just because she wasn't happy with my boyfriend. I made so many attempts to make Lauren happy, but you don't see that on the show.”

Spencer on how his relationship changed after Heidi and LC stopped being friends:
“All I know is that once Lauren was out of our relationship, it became flawless. It was like I had this girlfriend who had this friend whose goal it was to break us up. Lauren's not dumb, and she knows how to get what she wants. She's got a really strong team of people around her; she knows how to work it.”

Spencer on being grateful:
"Heidi and I both know that without Lauren there wouldn't have been The Hills, and believe me, we are grateful for that, and for being on a hit show."
ontd
