The Hills

I'm sorry, but Lauren isn't at all obligated to be friends with someone who actively tried to ruin her reputation. Lauren said she accepted her apology but she wasn't willing to be friends again, which is fine :innocent: at least she wasn't bitter about it and allowed Heidi to come over and talk.

Amen..i think Lauren has done more than enough..Heidi not only tried to ruin her reputation, but also disregarded Lauren's friendship completely and treated her like shite when they lived together..i wouldn't give anyone like that an ounce of my time..
not only that, Lauren can now see that the only reason Heidi would want to be friends again is for publicity..

Lauren talks about the rumors in the latest In Touch

laguna beach real online community

Thanks for posting that Madhuri! Lauren's face looks really awkward in that large photo.

I would have moved away too if random people came to the door in the middle of the night!

I really don't know what to believe about The Hills anymore. Of course Lauren has to deny the rumours about the show being fake, otherwise she might loose her job and/or credibility. But oh well, I still enjoy watching it, although I liked it better one, two seasons ago...

^ I agree 100% with everything you wrote. I don't buy that everything on the show is real (though some of it might be based on reality), but I am addicted and find it entertaining nonetheless.

I am anxious to see the Audrina/Justin-Bobby break-up!

The Hills is the highest rated show on MTV. There is no way they will kill it. Unless Lauren refuses to do it any more. Then I am sure they will try and get Heidi and Spencer to have a show. Nothing else on MTV is doing very well in the ratings.

hasn't lauren commented several times that this is her last year doing "reality" tv?

I can't believe MTV didn't give Kirstin Cavallri her own show. She seems so much more interesting and outrageous than Lauren. She's so boring now.

Okay, I was watching TMZ the other morning on E! and they showed clips from The Hills, and it was when Lauren and Audrina were leaving a club or something and Lauren asked if they should do the exit again...
And there was another clip like it, I dont really remember what it was about, but it was similar, and Lauren or Audrina asked if they should do the take again.

I dont know about you, but in real life I dont leave school or something and ask anyone if I should redo my exit... cameras or not, that makes it a little hard to believe the show is "real"
and i dont care, im not going to stop watching it because of that

either way, Happy Hills Day ! ^_^

I have heard other reality show cast say they have to enter or exit a room like 5 times for production reasons...weird but funny:lol:

You mean you don't! I always ask my boyfriend, friends or even a stranger who happens to be near by if my exit was good. I can't belive you don't?!?!?!:lol:

Happy Hills Day too!

^LOL I don't think it's a big deal..there could be lighting problems or sound or maybe they just didn't get things right for the camera to film it properly
I think what everyone is forgetting is that if you had a camera following you around and then that was on tv that would hardly be worth watching. You wouldn't' be able to hear half the stuff if it wasn't shot properly, nor would it be interesting enough..it's all half way between reality and set up situations.

The Hills is shot like a soap opera so they do have to film exits and entrances to make it look that way. Since there is no confessional like on The Real World, they have to film a lot scenes in a way that explains where the characters are and how they arrived. If Heidi is going to Lauren's apartment, they need a shot of Heidi driving up to the apartment and entering. They might re-film at different angles to capture the best shot. This doesn't affect the plot in any way but it does make the show flow more like a soap opera. It would seem strange if Heidi was suddenly shown in Lauren's apartment without showing her actually arriving and being let in.

wow... i thought it was just ugly all around :ninja::rofl:

agreed! kristin > lauren but kristin didn't want to do reality tv again.

The producers of Laguna Beach picked Lauren for a spinoff because she was more popular and relatable and the only one of the main cast not trying to be an actress. They followed her to LA to chronicle her as a student at FIDM and Teen Vogue. Kristin was never approached for a spinoff because she was trying to be an actress.

I would rather watch a show about a student and intern and not some bitchy struggling actress like Kristin- those types are a dime a dozen.

I definitely like the concept of The Hills, but as a lead on a show, I think Kristin is much more interesting. Lauren is very one dimensional, IMO. Kristin has got personality!

okay-so I don't really watch this anymore, but happened to flip to MTV right at spencers oh-so-heartwarming apology at the end. Please. Nothing out of that man's mouth strikes me as being the least bit sincere. I can't stand him.
